I can't watch Jersey Shore. I spent SO many summers there - for 3 years, my friends and I (all law students/lawyers/young professionals) shared a house down at the shore (as it's properly said by Philly types) and we were fun and literate and yes, we drank but we weren't STUPID. We danced like crazy, we'd throw parties were we were the band also (because we were COOL like that and I used to sing backup and did a really wicked rendition of the B52s hits - call me Kate.)
Funny enough, we were mostly also of Sicilian descent. AND WE STILL WEREN'T GUIDOS or whatevs. Though we did cook a lot. Cause, Sicilians. Of course, we'd go fish for our food. MMM crabs.
