.....yes. BUT! BUT!! I think I'm able to save it. I was out early this morning rooting around looking for root stock and bulbs, and I think there's plenty of the root system to the rose to help it bounce back.

I had a splitting headache last night and was an absolute grump. Seeing that the rose and a few others weren't dead this morning (or wilted, or brown or...) gives me hope.
