Gah - I'm so disjointed in my head - I blame the fact that I am a tremendous creature of habit and Mr. S has been home this week messing with my mojo. Oh, and he snores like a chainsaw. There's that, too. Sofa City! (It's more like I can't empty my head before sleeping - can't turn it off.)

Yesterday was a great day - my buddy from Singapore took me to a restaurant - little hole in the wall, always a good sign - and I was the only white person there. Didn't understand a word, had no clue what I ate and I was happy happy. MMMMM, so good. Some noodle dish with octopus and shrimp and beans and spice and goodness, plus some curry paste on pineapple and shrimp dish, then wilted watercress with some sort of nut sauce.... GLAH. Oh! And the "signature Singapore dish:" chili crabs. Holy crap. I LOVE FOOD.

Which brings me to my next point. The hotels have been booked for our annual beach vacation. I love food. I need to step up my workout, yo. I've taken to writing down my daily exercise in a log, and it's making a huge difference on how hard and effective I am - which is good. And apparently I've figured out that I can't lie to myself and call the short run the long run, or what have you. And since it's said that an encouraging photo on the fridge can help motivate you, here's my "OMG LOOK LIKE THIS" body. Good. Lord. (Uh, that is not me. That is what I *want* to look like.) That is a great ass.

Also: Happy birthday to one of three men on my flist! [livejournal.com profile] phfeenikz - have a great day!

Finally, behind the cut for spoilers . Is it just me, or does there continue to be a feeling of a MISSED EPISODE?? Too much happening, too fast, not enough explanation. And OH MY GOD for Thumper being in the blown up coliseum!! Weevil. I fucking love that character. I love how he's a smart ass and KNOWS that Veronica is going to ask him finally. And LOGAN. The past few episodes have his storyline getting DARK and freaking me out (and also with the plot holes - he's just... cleared. Okay. Would have liked a little more there, please.) but he was in all his sarcastic glory last night. I LOVE him taking Lamb's parking space. Hahahaha!!

And of COURSE Guttenberg is involved. Of course. He's got Aaron Echolls written all over him. And WALLACE!! Even though I don't care for Jackie AT ALL, damn I want a guy to grab me and just kiss me because he NEEDS to. Unf. Love Wallace.

And who wants to bet that Logan's mom just shows up in one of the last two eps? (And the dance at the end! I know they are wrong, but VM/LE feeeeeels so good.) Beaver. Gay? Traumatized by Dick? Fear that there are cameras in the house? Dick called his girl a weirdo or something? WHAT IS WRONG WITH BEAVER.

GOD I need to finish this fic I'm writing. Cannot FOCUS. Sorry for the spazz! Carry on...

[ETA]: Sorry! All those in [livejournal.com profile] a_list_celebs that HAVEN'T voted yet, please log in and do so, thanks! And we just got our 1000th hit! WHOOOO!

FOOD. Oh, so good. (Oh, and coconut cake! Delish.)

There is one MASSIVE spoiler up there, so YES! Stay away!

OMG, I'm dying to know what's up with Beaver. I really like him a lot and I need to know why he's so freaked out.

The VM/LE dance was just lovely. And the Wallace kiss! I don't like Jackie either, but I was just giddy at that kiss. And poor Jackie taking the blame from others. I was happy that Wallace told the other girl what was what. That's being a man.

The plot holes with Logan are killing me. Killing. Me. Dead.

I like cocount every two years! And this hit it for me. (Oh, except my mom used to make a bunny cake with coconut shavings dyed green for the grass every Easter, and I may need to make that for my kids because I LOVED it when I was little.)

Um... I meant chili crabs, YUM!!! (oooh, and little curry pies we bought and took home and SO HOT and SPICY and delish in my tum.)

I'm STILL full.

BEAVER. I really need to know what it is, TOO! (Oh, hurt little Mac's face!)

I am right on board with you and the greatness that is Wallace being upfront and STILL likeable. Love me some Wallace. I'm so glad they are building a character for him, and not just making him a side-kick. (OF course, they started that in S1, but still. Love him.)

I keep thinking the final eps are going to be like last year: bam, bam, bam with the info and blank filling, you know? *crosses fingers*

I totally make that cake every year for Easter still!

Without the coconut, because eww! But the one where you keep one cake round whole, and cut the other to form two ears and the bow-tie, then decorate with gumdrops or jellybeans and red twizzler whiskers? YESH!

Curry pies, oooohhhh. Very cool!

Curried potatoes and veggies inside little pastry pockets. NUM.

And you know, now that my in-laws are coming for Easter dinner (so I can have a variety of food - MIL makes the SAME THING for all holidays.) I might need to make a lemon curd tart. FRIGGIN' NUMMEH.

Because who doesn't enjoy the lemon curd? (shhh - don't tell me if you don't. LIE TO ME.)

But then I looked at that picture (hot damn, by the way) so I'll go for a walk instead. :D

I love lemon curd, and that is the God's honest truth!

There really are only very few things I don't like. Um. Cheesecake. Flaked coconut (though I'll happily eat fresh, and I like coconut milk in sauces, curries, flavor of desserts). And black licorice. Ewwwww.

...I think that's it. I mean, I like brussels sprouts!

AH. OH. Okay.

#1. It was a cocount MILK sponge cake. No flakes no where.
#2. I love me some cheesecake. But is SO rich, have to save it for special occassions.
#3. Black licorice (lick or issss) is the fucking DEVIL. I hate it. I HATE it. *scrubs tongue*
#4. Brussel sprouts are martian brains and will kill you if you eat them. BE CAREFUL!! (but other than that, I'll eat anything. Dude, fish heads, monkey balls, beetle patè BRING IT.)

#1 Oh, then YUM!

#2 It is too rich, eek. I can have a bite, maybe two, before I make a face and push the plate away. Oddly, I like brownies that have a cream-cheese topping, maybe because there's a much higher proportion of brownie to cc?

#3 Even the smell of it, ick.

#4 Hahahahahahahaha! *menaces you with brussels sprouts* When I ate meat, I would say I tried many things, but I never developed a fondness for either liver or venison. Too ooky; too gamey. But of course, yeah, that whole food group is off limits now for very different reasons.

#2: the key with rich foods is to only have a few bites and that way I can have an ass like the link up there. OMG. *leg lifts while typing*

#4: mule deer is SUPER gamey. We have white-tail here in Texas, so they are very pleasant tasting. MMMM, ANIMAL. (I prefer eating meat from hunters, over things from a market - I know they were killed quickly and without slaughterhouse cruelty. Too much? Change topic? CAN DO.)

Mmmmmm, pie! Maybe a lemon curd AND a pecan pie!!

Dick is evil and he is tearing about my OTP and I am filled with woe. *sobs*

And yes to all of this:

Is it just me, or does there continue to be a feeling of a MISSED EPISODE?? Too much happening, too fast, not enough explanation.

I wrote something very similar in my review of the show.

Ahahaha! Loved the ass shot. You look great! Really! God. I've got to get out of my work funk. It's killing my joy, Laura! It's stealing my sunshine. *cries* I mean, it's hard to even play online during work hours anymore - they keep wanting me to work. What. The. Hell?

I hope so. If they don't fill stuff in, I'll be really annoyed. I keep wondering if there's something on the editing room floor that was important. Maybe on the S2 dvds there'll be deleted scenes that will make things clear.

Beaver! Mac! My heart aches for them. (Every time Mac's on screen the song "Corrina, Corrina" plays through my head. She still looks like she did as a little girl.)

MAC!! (Are you watching "Big Love?" Lily and Mac are... shippable, and I'm not even lying.)

I've still got my fingers crossed on the potential of some flashback moments in the upcoming eps...

What up DICK?!? And we were talking last week about how 2x16 just started without any mention to how 2x15 ended with Logan saying, "I've been very bad." He just got off with no more discussion! WHAT??

Oooh! *zooms to read your review*

I've got Big Love on the Tivo and haven't watched yet. I'm hoping to catch up on them this weekend. I knew Mac was on there, didn't realize Lily is on it. Oooh. That's awesome. There's not enough really good femslash pairings out there. I'll have to check them out.

Flashbacks would rock my world.

Have a good run! I've jumped back on the heavy duty work out wagon myself. Yay for summer clothing and the kick in the ass they give you.

YOU HAD CURRY PUFFS. Oh my god, the envy that now consumes me... snack food of the gods. I don't know why Americans haven't discovered these yet. They are all over Asia; every fast food place sells them. I could inhale them by the dozen.

When I lived in Singapore, my favorite Singapore food was satay. Whenever my dad came to Singapore for a business trip (this was when I was in 9th grade and living in the hostel) he would take me to the Batik Inn, which was the best satay restaurant around. Open air, tables under the banyan trees in a large courtyard. Order any variety of satay you wanted -- chicken, beef, shrimp... it was divine. Thai satay isn't as good, but it's the only kind I can get around here. Waaah, now I want some satay so badly. It's almost lunchtime. This is a bad time to be reading your post!

I'm going to do the other good thing mentioned in your post, and go for a walk. That will make me feel all virtuous.

What are you writing?

(Oh, man, I've gone on ad nauseum about Big Love. If I can get more people to have a dialogue about that show...)

Ooooh, I've had a Buffy/Faith femmeslash idea brewing for weeks, but haven't sat down to write it yet. And AGREED. All of my girl OTPs are OLD school and very wrong. :D (one of them is hinted at in my icon...)
