hmmm.... interesting poll... and of course, everyone's situation is a bit different, but i'll expand on mine: i was raised both in a (liberal) protestant christian church (UCC) and also practicing what my mother called "shamanic wicca" yep, raised both pagan and christian here and never really resented it. here i put in my info about the christian part of it, but it doesn't really add into all the other stuff my mom did during the week.... and yes, my witchy mother taught sunday school for several years, participated in any and all plays and pagents, and volunteered for several committees... she also knew the bible better than many christians. of course, she wasn't ever 'out' at church, but that changed when they changed to a more conservative pastor and my folks decided to leave and attend the local unitarian universalist fellowship where my mother could be herself as well as volunteer her time in the same way she was used to. living in a small city, uu was the closest thing to a church community for my mom (it works great for my dad, though... he's so analytical ;) i still never resented her time volunteering, though FWIW.....
a bit of a ramble....
