Emily's strep came back on Monday, doctor on Tuesday, she's home until Thursday. Today I picked #2 up from school feeling poorly (I think it's just PMS, honestly) and my throat started hurting. Ugh. The Mr. started back traveling this week, too, so I'm in charge and I just wanna sleeeeeeeep. Fortunately everyone just wants soup for dinner, so I can whip that up without too much difficulty.

Because our insurance is all weird right now, I'm not going to spend $100 for the doctor to tell me what I know, but I am strong like bull and can ride it out. But if anyone wanted to just show up with tea and pho, that would be super. So sleeeeeeepy.

Because my bosses have driven away two more coworkers, one of my friends had to work a day after she got her first dose of Strep meds. I of course worked with her. My throats been sore and dry intermittently, and I've been body-tired for a few days, but I've been braining it away; "You're not sick! You're not sick." Tragically I am weak like new born miniature bunny and if it keeps up I'm hitting the doc's.
Maybe not the best day to be watching The Stand. But I can nap through it!

Ahahaha, no, I'd say this is NOT a good time to watch The Stand. And I ALWAYS end up watching it when I'm hit with the lurgy, too! Oh my god, maybe it's not strep, maybe it's Captain Tripps? If I dream about Oprah playing a banjo, we know it's true.

Hahaha, she has been MILKING this for all it's worth, too. Somehow she can manage playing with the animals, but feels sooooooo ill when it's time to feed the dog. Mmm hmm. She's on Proper Medicines, too!

And HA HA. I was just on the phone with the Mr. and he said to take the SAME THING. Lol.

Right?! It's amazing how whenever I'm super sick, something like The Stand or Kingdom Hospital comes on and I watch it. Somehow knowing I'm not in fact dying makes me feel better.
On the other hand, I take great comfort in knowing that should Captain Tripps happen I'll probably be on the first tier of dead. Being weak like bunny and all. No worries about trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world! That's everyone else's problem.

I would head over right now with some Grateful Bean soup and some homemade pecan ice cream (or does dairy make you phlemy when you're sick? Some people get phlemy) if I wasn't a-scared of your cooties! I almost just wrote cooter, and that made me think "his dick seated itself in her audience" which is just bizarre - evidently your illness makes me inappropriate (let's be honest - linoleum makes me inappropriate!)

I hope you're all feeling better soon and I'm sorry you're having to play Florence Nightingale while you're simultaneously doing a revival of Camille. Poor Stoners! <3

I just got over The Plague myself (upper respiratory, it was "awesome"). I bruised my ribs with the coughing.

Hope all this streppiness passes soon for you guys. I used to get strep a lot as a child, so I know how much it sucks.
