I completely agree with you. Tumblr users can be vicious and there's never a good excuse to bash a writer who is sharing their gifts and talents.
I am definitely older than a lot of fanfic readers & writers. It's a guilty pleasure, if you will. But that being said, I honestly believe that decency and kindness shouldn't have anything to do with age. When it ever became okay to use 'asshole' or 'fuck you' as a term of endearment baffles me. I hope it never becomes the social norm!
