Just got a flyer on my door with a totally ripped, hot dude cleaning some lady's pool as he smirks at her. Awesome!

NOT SO FAST, FELLOW FRIENDS.

The caption reads: "Call us, not the other guys. We specialize in clean pools, not hot pool boys."

WELL I GUESS I WON'T BE HIRING YOU THEN, WILL I? [Any reason they couldn't specialize in BOTH?]



Even better? There's a picture of "Our Guys" in the corner, all small: some 50 year old good ol' boy with a uniform and a chicken nugget gut. NO ME GUSTA.

That... has to be the stupidest and least effective ad campaign ever.

Unless they're pitching to the husbands, who of course do all the business hiring decisions for the household. Then it's just gross.

It's funny, because I live in a neighborhood filled with stay-at-home moms, so MOST ads that come to the door/in the mail are geared as total lady bait. Which makes this ad all the more funny to me.

I think it's just a bad campaign. I mentioned in another comment that most of the households here have stay-at-home wives. Most ads are geared towards us ladies.
