Watched "Batman Begins" tonight. Loved, loved, loved so many things. Michael Caine. Morgan Freeman. Tom Wilkinson. Gary Oldman. Liam Neesom. Greatest character (and versatile) actors of a generation. Christian Bale. Massive acting chops despite no other starring "mainstream" hit.

And Joey Potter. Okay, I have agism issues because the idea of Joey as a DA makes my wrinkles take toe holds, know what I'm sayin'? But when I wasn't thinking, "It's Joey - what does she know of legal briefs?!" I was thinking, "Run, Katie! Run!!!"

Then her crooked smile stayed crooked but 80 feet tall for the entire final scene of the movie and I thought, "Run faster! Or else you'll breed and I'll have to look at kids with giant ass crooked smiles for the next 10 years!" Unless they're planning to get their kids from central casting, too...that is horrible and I cannot be blamed - I stole that off of Conan like, 5 years ago.

At the moment, fourth grade seems like a million years ago, but that's because this morning seems like 100,000 years ago.

I'm between Daylily crops; the H. citrine is pretty much over and the hybrids are yet to bloom; I think they need it to warm up and stop RAINING all the time.

I haven't bitched about getting soaked to the skin this afternoon yet, anywhere. It seems minor next to the "Mr. Space has worked ten hours on his alleged day off." level of stuff.

Finished chapter 41, going to bed, screw reality.

I hope I can still enjoy War of the Worlds despite Tom Cruise's ridiculous off-screen antics cluttering up my mind. At least I've only heard about him leaping up and down on Oprah, and not really seen it for myself. That mental image has not scarred me for life.

And my boyfriend is in the movie: Cillian Murphy, he of the RIDONKULUSLY gorgeous blue eyes and huge... tract of land? (I almost cried from the pretty him in Girl with a Pearl Earring.)

I don't have a problem with KH as a DA (she's 28?) but what I have a PROBLEM with is that FUCKING voice. I HATE baby-girl voices. And she does that fucking "ththththt" thing with her tongue behind her teeth when she smiles, like my arch-nemesis did growing up. Bleh.

But. NO ONE deserves Scientology/no medicine religion! 2 months? What, are they Mormon? No, they would have been married after 3 weeks and a "family prayer." And I'm not joking.
