Blue skies. And not oppressively hot. This is new for North Texas, recently. Hooray! Kids are having sleepovers this weekend, AWAY, so Mr. S and I will be enjoying a Sci-Fi Friday, by which I mean we will have either a viewing of the crew of the Nostramo (Alien and Aliens), or add a Schwartzenegarian element to the night: Total Recall, or perhaps Terminator. Woot! MAYBE ALL OF THEM.

Maybe not, as my allergies are kicking in and the Tylenol: Sinus knocks me out. But. MOVIES. Hoorah!

Also, I have discovered the recipe for the BEST COCKTAIL EVER. Seriously. I give you:
THE CLEAR COSMO

1 oz. cranberry Vodka
1 oz. Triple Sec
squeeze of a lime wedge
splash of white cranberry juice

Shake with ice, strain into a glass. Slice a strawberry vertically, float on top of cocktail. Pretty and YUMMY. Not so much of a tang as some Cosmos have, also. Sometimes I like tang, sometimes I can't stand it. Heh. I said tang. [/twelve]

In other news, my little sis performed stand-up for the first time last night and kicked booty. Woot! Older sis is kicking butt at her business and getting promotions. Woot! I am still in my robe. Hooray!! But my teeth are brushed. *checks* Crap. Okay, fixing that, then off to the store and out into BLUE SKIES. *grins beatifically at you ALL*

Yay for being back in CO! I read about your mom - that's really neat that you two can share writing, now. Whether or not she goes any further, she'll have more of an appreciation for what you do, don't you think?

The day here has been strange and offputting! It's a full moon out tonight, and everyone's on edge. I had to go to my doctor's office today because I needed a refill on my prescription, and when I got in he was all, omg what's wrong? trouble breathing? chest pains? WHERE ARE YOU BLEEDING? And then I told him I was just there for pills, and he was all wheeeew. okay then. Hee. I love my doctor.

Hey, it's a blue-sky'ed sun shiny day here too! And I--am going to work, but still . . . pretty! AND if all goes well, I won't have to wear the horrible new work shirt that makes me look like a potato that has joined an adult bowling leauge.

When I needs my sci fi I also like to indulge in the X-men. Dear Hugh is quite pretty (in a many way, of course). However, anything Arnie makes my day. Even Jingle All the Way, which is really quite crappy, but so much fun to watch. Or, OOH, Commando! "Let off some steam, Vinne!" Hee. Of course, not strictly sci fi. On second thought, go with Total Recall or Terminator or Alien and Aliens. Hmmm...maybe I'll put Jingle All the Way on in the store tonight . . . *eg*
