Well, I was off by a bit, having Texas 38-33 instead of 41-38. 'Tis good for you that the refs gave you guys a bogus touchdown. And also that USC cannot play defense.

HOw can I ruin it? Your boys still won. I freely admit than when Maryland won the NCAA Basketball title in 2002, we did so because Indiana was ass.

Vince Young is legitamately awesome. Awesome enough to take advantage of good breaks, unlike what would happen to any UNC or Texas team coached by Mack Brown that didn't feature Vince Young. Who, again, is awesome.

I was more impressed with how tough USC's offense was, because they were getting hit. Hard. Though it was interesting that, when USC decided to go for that last first down (because their defense is junk and they know it) that Bush wasn't on the field. Which is where Texas won, because they could occaisionally stop USC's offense, and USC couldn't stop Vince.

That game was intense. Really, a lot of great bowl games. And I'm really glad both teams settled down and got their heads out of their butts after the first quarter.

Oh YES. I was panicking that first quarter. They were all so nervous and you could tell they had too much in their heads when it needed to be on the game.

As for USC - they have a fantastic team, but their defense didn't seem to really gel until the last three minutes when I almost had a heart attack and DIED.

I raised and lowered my garage door and have been flashing the porch lights. HEEE!! We have a single-guy neighbor who ran up and down the block screaming "WHOOO!" with a huge UT flag.

My bowl season was excellent: Miami lost to LSU, FSU lost to Penn State (Go JoePa!) and Florida whooped up on Iowa. Yuppers, Chelle is a happy football camper!

Yep. 5K. Mr. S said his flight out this week was awash in burnt umber - all the folks from Dallas flying out to make a week of the festivities. Should be a fun plane to ride home on.

(That was an amazing game, and USC played SO well. Seriously. I was just biting my nails those last three minutes.)

We beat an incredibly difficult team, and in the FINAL FEW seconds. We were up in the beginning, lost it in the second half and then just kept pushing and pushing and-

It would be hard for anyone to not get involved in that game. GAH. There are a handful of games I have to watch, and that was one of them. They did not disappoint. :D
