Quick notes, for I shall ACCOMPLISH THINGS TODAY. Which means I need to step away from the 'puter. (Except not, because I want to WRITE. I'll step away from the LJ.)

• Puh. For those of you following a_list_celebs, we were mocking the TomKitten birth AS IT WAS UNFOLDING, hello. Including the secret rituals of nudity and shoe shopping. ...why haven't you added that to your flist?


• I got woken up by big blue eyes, a heart-shaped face, and a big grin. Followed with a gentle arm pat and a whispered, "I want breakfast. Now." She got a few minutes of cuddling, instead.


• Read FIC yesterday! I hardly ever do that anymore. One: Tack's The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot (again - I never re-read fic!) in the PotC fandom, but IT DOESN'T MATTER. Is most excellent, possibly one of the best pieces of fanfiction I've ever read. And re-read (I never do that!) ely_jan's Xander/Angel fic of darkness, as she posted a new bit yesterday. Get thee hie and read!


• Finally, we've had two straight days of triple digit weather here. HOLY FAHK. Too hot, too soon. Thank you, Canada for sending a cold front our way. Now it's a respectable 78 for a high day, and I am most pleased.

Back to the grindstone! Have a lovely lovely day everyone!!

Awwww! But the other kids in her class with be her size! *pets Em* Don't they separate them out for recess and lunch? They did that with the niece and nephew at their school, doing the grades separately so that the first-graders weren't sharing the asphalt with the fifth-graders.

Can't open a pudding cup with out help! AWWWWW! That has to be a measure for kindergarten, right? Can she open a pudding cup? No? Okay, another few monthts at home demanding breakfast, being snuggling, and hair-brushing/practicing. *decrees*

No! No they won't! She's going to be the youngest in her class and is WEE. She is the wee-est of all the Stoneys! (And yes, the grades are separated out. but! But! She'll require assistance from the lunch "teacher" to pull open her fruti cup, I know it! *cries for her potential spilling and lip quivering*

Whenever I scold her for being naughty, she frowns hard to hide her lip tremble. (Will her new teacher know that means she needs hugs? She needs to be pulled into someone's lap at that point and loved and told she's a good girl, she just did something naughty and mommy still loves her and OH!! *eyes shining*)

I'm not ready yet. :(

Oh, the wee-est! *hugs you* It will be okay, though it will definitely be hard. BUT! All summer for her to grow a little taller, and for you to get ready for her big leap into the world of big kids.
