Life is really, REALLY good. Cherusha rules. She made me a MOVIE! (psst, Ru! You are AMAZING. Everything is perfect. EVERYTHING! ♥ you tunz.) Also, anelith sent me a card today with a 3-d swinging pirate ship that has me MESMERIZED. Anne, you didn't know this, but when I was a little girl, my Papa had a model pirate ship in his den that I would play with for hours. Um, he didn't know that, or I'd've been in big trouble. Now I have a mini-one of my own!! Love you, too!

So, I'm super uncomfortable getting things and hearing about myself, so for my birthday today, how about hearing something great about YOU?!? If you'd like me to fill your ears with praise, a funny story, something like that, comment and say: "Me, please!" I'm having lunch with my girlfriends, so you might have to wait for love and praise after noon, but it will be here!!

My husband and I are doing a re-watch thing and we're now in S3. Last night it was the turn of 'Revelations' (with the B/A tai chi where they end up *almost* kissing). The dialogue went as follows:

Buffy: Sorry. It's just... old habit. Bad, bad habit to be broken.
Angel: It's hard.
Buffy: It's not hard. Cold turkey. That's the key to quitting.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY L!!!!!

So here's a story about me that just happened this morning. It's short. As you know, I have an electronic piano-keyboard thing. Well, the only pedal I had for it was the crummy one that came with it, so as an early bday present, I received this nice set of three that attaches to the base of my keyboard. I follow the instructions and put the clips into the bar, go through a bit of a hassle getting all the screws tightened (I have problems with loose screws, what can I say?), and finally deem the project successful!

Until I stand up and get ready to push the piano back against the wall and realize I put the bar on backwards so that the pedals are facing out towards the wall and not in towards my feet. May all your pedals be inward-facing today, Stoney! :D

I DID. Oh, Beth, you made me BAWL. I love you so much. I'm so sorry that because of things when we were younger, we weren't closer. But I'm even more happy about you and I being such close friends now, that you'll know I mean it when I say how important you are to me.

You're so beautiful and loving and fun and funny, and you've made my kids fall in love with you. You've really grown into an amazing person this year - someone I'm so proud of. I think about that week you came out to hang with me when I was in college and we had so much fun together! (Knights in White Acne, hahahahaha!! You're so frickin' funny.) Thank you for being someone I can talk objectively to, and for being thoughtful and helpful to me when I need it.
