I don't normally get excited over drabbles. (Unless it's Yoda/Chewbacca and [livejournal.com profile] tkp is involved.) ANYWAY. I dunno... Drabbles are usually too short for me to catch/get anything from them, unless there's several of them linked together, which I like. Both of these coming up are AWESOME. Two short ficlets that I read yesterday that both say a lot with very little.

The Office, Meredith/Creed (yeah, you read that correctly.) Guitar Pick, by [livejournal.com profile] elsbeth_lynn

BtVS, Ensemble (and seriously. A.MA.ZING.) Counting Down, by [livejournal.com profile] spuffyduds

Shoo! Who doesn't have time for 100 - 125 words? Lastly, if you're on the fence, consider this my push: Go See Little Miss Sunshine. It's a lighthearted and less cruel Royal Tennebaums type movie. (Am I the only one that saw that movie as a bit darker? I loved RT, by the way. This one is just more laugh out loud. Perhaps it just hits the right buttons with me. Good good movie.)

I thought Royal Tennenbaums was incredibly dark. And man, you were right about that Spuffyduds drabble! It kicks ass.

It was TIGHT! I don't rec lightly! :D

And yeah - I loved RT. Really and truly. But Little Miss Sunshine - even though it's similarily about a disfunctional family - has a positive feel to it, even when it's showing each character's failures. And seriously: moments of laughing out loud. (Steve Carrell is fantastic. I'm a huge fan of comedians playing serious roles.)
