I think I've used that same subject heading before. I've officially become lame. *stamps lame certificate* So today almost brought y'all a woe post from me. ALMOST. Went to bed blue. Woke up blue. Didn't help that the first news article I read was that they found James Kim's body. That poor family. (SF family that got lost in the mountains, for those not keeping up with Current Events) I'm missing Mr. S, I've been feeling overwhelmed by everyone's NEED and me being the only person that's needed (gah) and under-motivated to do anything, BUT.

I took the dog for our 5 mile walk (which quickly became a 2 mile walk when the wind gusted up to 30mph making the 40 degree weather feel WAY colder) and all I had on was my grey hoodie. I totally had a Uni-bomber look going, which for some reason cracked me up. Apparently, imagining that I'm a serial terrorist cheers me up. YOU'VE ALL BEEN WARNED.

Today is FUGGIN' freezing and so there will be a stock pot of turkey chili made. There will be comfort movie watching (as yet to be determined). There will be fudge consumed. There may even be, dare I say, a hot chai. What there WON'T be is: whining on my part. Any chores done. (screw 'em) Any errands involving me leaving the house. CRAP. Except for one, but it's my volunteer day at the library, but it's a half-hour, so that gets a pass.

I have monster writer's block. The creativity well done dried up. Who does what when that happens? I'm going to see if making scarves and fudge eating fixes mine. Probably not, but it's the EFFORT that counts. Heh.

And tonight is Best Comedy Night on TV night. My Name is Earl is okay, but THE OFFICE! SCRUBS!! 30 ROCK!!! <-- why aren't more people watching this? It's EXCELLENT. It's so damn funny. Plus, I heard a rumor that there's JD/Turk in the musical episode, hahahaha! Okay, blue mood is lifting.

oh hahahhahahahahaha! It's been so long since pee wee! I can't remember it.

I love your icon!

I can't get the drunk guy to walk straight.

These things, they make me happy when skies are gray. Also, elephant balls.

I feel loose endy. I'm reading HP slash, omg. I don't know when or where or why that happened. It frightens me.

Don't mess with Kansas, either!

zomg, this is a sekret: I started off with HP! It was my gateway slash. I actually moved from HP slash to HP GEN. Which is apparently unheard of. *waves Ron.Hermione shipper flag with PRIDE*

There's some GOOD HP fic - there's also some astoundingly BAD fic out there, too, which gives me great pleasure. *also waves Weasleycest flag with shame*

HP was my second fandom. It introduced me to slash through Remus/Sirius, but even though I liked that ship I didn't really read it. What slash were you reading? Anyway I read...um, Snape/Hermione. But that was like 5 years ago. Though periodically since then. In March I did a big Snape/Hermione fling and I never even *told* anyone about it. But anyway two weeks ago, I woke up and wanted to read Snape/Harry. This morning, I woke up and wanted to read Harry/Draco. It's...very weird. It's a phase, I think. But I'm finding ok fic. Ok fic that's LONG which is nice. Do you mean HP het? I ask as Ron/Hermione shipping is obviously not gen. I think I saw some links somewhere to some really big gen HP fics which are apparently well known and drooled over, but I think that would just make me want to read book 7. I love the books a whole whole lot but it's something I only periodically feel fannish over. Possibly it's just 'cause I find the fandom so scary--I was quite into it at one time. Snape, he has that self-loathing thing down good, I think. DO YOU SEE WHY I WANT SNAPE/HARRY?? It's just like Angel/Connor, in a way. OMG I'M SO FUCKED UP IN THE HED.

Heeeeeee! Remus/Sirius has a HUGE following, but that did nothing for me. The only grownup I like reading about is Snape. And I've read SNape/Hermione, although I don't buy it. And yet? I've read some really hot BDSM Snape/Pansy fic that made me forget Snivellus and love Alan Rickman's Snape.

Harry/Draco I think is the biggest ship, but I could be wrong. I know Winter's (winterlive) has written RPS with Dan/Tom (I've beta'd one) and that was a big kink of hers - she probably has some great fics in her memories, if you feel like trawling. I typically like the same fic elements as she does.

And heh, I meant HET. So many of the R/Hr fics are SCHMOOPY, so it's really my secret, shhh. :) There are some Ron/Harry fics that REALLY worked for me, but I'll have to go digging to find them - it's been a while. I'll look!!

And the fandom is COMPLETELY FUCKED. I only read, I never participated, because eeeesh.

Remus/Sirius has a HUGE following, but that did nothing for me

It doesn't do anything for me on a "I want to read fic" about it kinda level; I just liked them having each other. For years, that's what slash was to me. I also shipped Charles Xavier/Erik Lensherr and...get this, first Jossverse slash pairing, Giles/Ethan. I slashed in ways that were were believable and...well, meaningful, but not really sexy or interesting to me. I thought it was 'cause I didn't care for slash, but I think now it was 'cause I wasn't bothering to slash people I was interested in. Weird. /navel gazing.

The only grownup I like reading about is Snape

I think I would like reading either Sirius or Remus if they were *with* Snape. Mostly Sirius, I think. 'Cause, massive hatred. I dunno, it's all new. Shiny...

really hot BDSM Snape/Pansy fic

wha??

made me forget Snivellus and love Alan Rickman's Snape

I'd rather remember Snivellus. Alan Rickman, though I find him incredibly hot (especially about 10 year ago, but he's still goin' strong), is not mySnape. He's not skinny and ugly enough.

RPS with Dan/Tom

I don't think I could do that...

So many of the R/Hr fics are SCHMOOPY, so it's really my secret, shhh. :)

I love R/Hr SO HARD inside the books, but I really can't see myself reading fic about them. I didn't know you liked schmoop. Ruin your image, why don't you.

There are some Ron/Harry fics that REALLY worked for me, but I'll have to go digging to find them - it's been a while. I'll look!!

I can't really imagine reading that one, either. I *love* Ron, so hard, but he doesn't really...interest me in a fic capacity. Then again, I would've LAID MONEY on never reading, freakin' SNARRY. Oy.

And the fandom is COMPLETELY FUCKED. I only read, I never participated, because eeeesh.

I can't really imagine participating, either. But, my brain, I can't tell it what not to write. Apparently. I really really really HOPE it doesn't start writing HP. Because that would be WRONG.

See, and I'm the same re: SNape. I fucking LOVE Alan Rickman's SNape, but it's not JKR's SNape for me because he's not greasy/unattractive/sniveling enough for me.

And I DON'T like Schmoop!!! *zomg, unless it's happy ever after Weasley fic, waaaaah!* Did you not know that I started out in Jossverse fandom with the SCHMOOPIEST fucking Spuffy story that was AU, for Chrissakes?? Man, I still cringe when I read my lameass characterization in that fic.

Now, I have written HP fanfic. That would be what I like to call the McGonnallbottom ship. And it's the only fic IN that ship. (Oooh, I have a Lucius/Draco fic that is WRONG in my memories. I mean, seriously. It's a LITERAL BRAIN FUCK.)

hahahah mind boogleing!

I just love Alan Rickman. But frankly I'd rather see him be Colonel Brandon. Oh, Colonel Brandon. Col. Brandon was my FIRST fandom.

Did you not know that I started out in Jossverse fandom with the SCHMOOPIEST fucking Spuffy story that was AU, for Chrissakes??

Oh! I think you did mention that once in my hearing, I mean seeing. I tried to bleach my eyes out afterwards, I think. Says the writer of an unfinished Snape/Mary Sue WIP. *whistles*

McGonnallbottom ship

What?

Oooh, I have a Lucius/Draco fic that is WRONG in my memories.

I shall find it. The thing about waking up wanting to read Harry/Draco slash is I really don't like Draco. I like him as a character but I really don't want to think about him fucking anything, 'cause ew. And yet. Lucius is the same way. It's almost too bad Lucius is so freakin' HOT in the movies, because he really is a dispicable character with no redeeming qualities. Snape is pretty dispicable, but there's at least the chance that he does have a true heart.

Um, I need to stop rambling in your journal about this new...problem of mine. And need to go shuffle through your memories because I will read anything that is fucked up and really really wrong.

DOOD. Get the hie to [livejournal.com profile] mistful's LJ and read her Goblet of Fire parody. You'll laugh a LOT. Shacka Lacka SWISH!

[livejournal.com profile] mctabby is where you need to read all of the Summary Executions (where I ganked the idea for a similar Gud Sumryies for Jossverse).

McGonagall, Professor + Longbottom, Neville = McGonalbottom. You should know I'm broken inside by now.

And I'm like you - I despise Draco and Luscious, er, Lucius. :) She's made them so dispicable, which makes for great book reading. It's hard to get me to read Draco/Anyone as a result. But I don't see that as a problem, I see it as well done, JKR. (Although the fandom vehemently disagrees.)

Ramble on!

Oh, thanks for links! I'm glad I finally have some time to read now.

You should know I'm broken inside by now.

Yes but that would lessen your ability to take me by surprise. And thus make my life just so much less enjoyable.

It's hard to get me to read Draco/Anyone as a result.

Me too. Which is why it's disturbing to wake up and say, "Draco just really needs to get fucked. And by someone who knows how." I mean, WTF, brain?

Ahahahahaha!!

What's funny is that Harry is the Boy Who Knows How. I dare someone to write McGonagall/Draco fic.

You know there's Moaning Myrtle/DObby somewhere. THERE HAS TO BE.

Oh, thanks! Yeah, Kita said you'd have links to it on your account. I don't know what's going on with me; I really don't.

I just finished reading that A Choriambic Progression one. There needs to be more fic like that in the world. With Harry way too innocent to be getting fucked by destiny and Snape wanting to make it better but fucking it up more by trying to fuck it better with Harry and feeling really guilty about it and it made me really really sad.

Hey! I saw, some time during the summer when I couldn't get online much, that you started a crossover, with HP and Connor. Are you going to do more? You should do more. Not that I'm doing that pressure thing. I need to go leave you fb, now.

I am re-reading A Choriambic Progression RIGHT NOW.

True story.

You should check out Pique's delicious as well: here (http://del.icio.us/fitofpique/snape/harry). She's got SEVENTY stories bookmarked.

I really want to continue writing that Connor/Snape, too! And no worries, all of my pressure is internal. Which is why it's such a bitch to cut out.

I am re-reading A Choriambic Progression RIGHT NOW.

That's so funny! That's what I did ALL DAY YESTERDAY. I thought it was going to be lame, because it seemed like the opening premise was kinda silly, but then I could not stop. It dealt with exactly the concepts that lightbulbed over me when I thought, "oh Snape/Harry, NOW I get it."

Thanks for all the links! *So* much better than trying to find this stuff myself.

And no worries, all of my pressure is internal. Which is why it's such a bitch to cut out.

I'm that way too, but it can get really frustrating when you're already pushing yourself and other people start pushing you too. So I try to never bug people about stuff they may or may not be writing.

P.S. Hi Stoney sorry!
