I don't know if I mentioned that Mr. S and I bought a store back in October - a clothing store.  We did so that my sister - who has managed it for years - could one day take over and have it all to herself, because she's awesome at making the place hip, cool, and filled with things of awesome.  (Those of you who have her friended knew about her crazy former boss, etc.)

She's in the process of getting the website up with merchandise, etc.  and you can see it here.  Hip, hip, hip.  But great things I love, and I'm fashion trend retarded.  You can email her (on the site) for purchases outside of the DFW area, so really, what are you waiting for?  Make an honest woman of my sis!  She's in the process of adding pics right now, so bookmark the site and visit often!

*beams with pride*

(although I do wish there was less grey.  THERE.  I've said it. Sorry, Beth.  It's your site, so I'm holding my peace now.)

*SQUISH!* Beth has a real eye for hip and cool. Her customers LOVE her. It's a teeny shop, but everything in there is neat. And hee - her whole focus now is to make it very New York. Of course this means I'll have to bring you on as a creative consultant. :D

You are a good sister to pimp her out like that. The only thing I'm not happy with is how you're 'holding your piece'. I think that's for private tawk. Maybe holding your PEACE? Put that thing away.

*beams* I am SO proud of her. She's an excellent shopkeeper, it has to be said. Personal shopping at its finest!

*squish* Hi, sweetheart! Surviving the remodel? It's getting CLOSE TO BEING DONE, omg.

Very attractive site. I love the kimono dress, but it's five thousand miles away wand would only fit me if I had half my body surgically removed.

Ha!! I have a few friends in the UK that I know want some things - if the shop ever takes off as a huge success, I'm sure shipping things far away can be arranged! :)

I love love LOVE that kimono dress. I wouldn't wear it, because I have body issues, but I LOVE how it looks.

It's such beautiful colours. I wear such colours and would happily wear teh style, but I'm a US size 18-20, so there's no hope for me there. :-(

I shall keep an eye on the site, though. But tell her big girls like pretty clothes too!

Hi! You are the Retailer Extraordinaire?

I know sourcing pretty stuff for big girls is hard. I just like to wail about it a bit at times. If you ever found that kimono in a big size I'd buy it like a shot, shipping to England and all!

Pretty site you have there.

Awesome!

I don't know how it happened but I have *finally* started taking an interest in what I wear. I want to keep my eye on here. Thanks for the heads up . . . and good luck to your sis!

And I love grey. I've been told I'm a color-hater.

Hahahaha, I love grey, too. But my thoughts are on the website it doesn't give it enough *pop* if that makes sense. My sister totally disagrees with me, and she's the artist, so....

*grins* Thanks, Joy, for the fb!

Cool clothes although not my current life style, so sad. My single thought on those shoes was if I wore any of those, I would fall over and break my ankles. (One inch heels is normally as high as I go. I'm short and I don't care who knows it.)

COOL NURSERY! Have you ever checked out plant delights? I wouldn't buy from there, but they do carry incredible plants.

Very cool clothes. And I can't wear everything, either, because I am a dull staid mom-type. But I like how the stuff looks.

(Ha, I TEWTALLY love high heels, though, and look forward to the few occasions when I can wear them!)

I haven't checked out plant delights, yet. I'm woefully behind on garden websites, as I tend to stick closer to home for native plants - extreme temps here, and all. But I will! I LITERALLY spent hours yesterday looking at the succulents' plant site. And made a list. :)

Isn't that dress ADORABLE??? (And if you notice, she says for outside orders to click the email link. Ahem. She can special order stuff.)

Not to, you know, encourage you or anything. *beams*

It is adorable and I have some really cute Kenneth Cole Louis heel Mary Janes that would look real cute with it.

The great thing about the shape of that dress is how it will look good now on you, and even better minus five pounds. (But I've SEEN you. You don't need weight loss! *hugs*)

I know!! There's a pair that's not onine yet, but they are patent black leather with a peek-a-boo cut out and a teeny little red bow at the top of the cutout. And on the side of the wee platform portion of the sole is a stamped pattern of bows. Eeee! Adorable!!

Thanks so much for the feedback! *is so proud of sister*

While I was looking at the site Ron wandered over and he went "wow". You know I wear mom clothes so it's not my style, but they are v. v. pretty. If I actually had anything to fill it out up front I would love to wear that kimono dress. SOOO pretty.

Hee! Aw, thanks, Anne! I went in today and got a CUTE little hoodie sweatshirt - I think she has a picture up, in fact. It's olive with birds on the back. Neat!

*hugs you*
