And I'll be the first to say it here: her "lawyer and friend" Howard K. Stern was also at her son's side when HE died. I call foul play on his part.

To be honest, I think she had such a tragic life that it's no surprise her death is dramatic as well. Her poor 5 month old baby. You think Howard K Stern (aka emotion-less face man) had something to do with it?

I have to say, my first reaction to this was: yup, diet drugs will mess up your health mightily.

Pfft, it wasn't the diet drugs (although I'm not saying those are healthful in any way) it's the methamphetamine.

A bunch of that on top of booze? Either suicide or foul play. So, so sad. I remember her Guess ads and thinking she was the most beautiful woman.

Quite frankly, I worry about that baby! Now both Anna Nicole and her sugar daddy's son are dead, the lawsuit is still in court, and there's this infant girl out there in custody of Anna Nicole's friend/lawyer who was around during both deaths. Not to be conspiracy theorist about this, but I do hope the guy who claims that he is that child's father finally gets a paternity test and whisks that kid away from that disaster of Anna Nicole's poor, messed up life.

My message was somewhat garbled in that the "both deaths" I referred to was Anna Nicole and her son. While I also referred to Marshall II also being dead in the same paragraph, and I didn't use names for either (because I didn't remember his name). Anyway, according to the CNN article, Marshall II also died not too long ago (not that I suspect greaseball to be involved with that death, just wondering what that meant for the Anna Nicole lawsuit).

No, no, don't worry about it! But her old man (Marshall) husband died, like, 13 years ago or something, so I don't think Stern was around during that time. I could be wrong, though.

I had completely forgotten that she was a Guess model. What a great pic of her. I saw this news earlier on my flist and was really surprised. So sad. I wouldn't consider myself a fan of hers, but nobody should go out like that. And god, her baby. That just sucks.

With her being from this area (Mexia is an hour and a half from Dallas) she was in the news a lot, but I didn't follow her career or anything. I just always felt so sad for her.

But yeah, back when she was a Guess model? She was GORGEOUS. Curvy and beautiful.

:-/ I couldn't believe this when my roommate told me this morning.

I was interested in the Howard K. Stern aspect, too; especially since a sudden, unexpected collapse--treated with CPR and forced oxygen--culminating in death is EXACTLY how her son died, IIRC.

I feel bad for the baby, too. Is there news yet that you know of about what's going to happen to her?

I'm glad I wasn't the only one whose mind went there, then. That's the first thing I thought of, actually. And I seem to remember reading that the drugs that caused her son to die were given to him by Stern, although that is probably tabloidy shit.

I feel so bad for that little baby.
