What is the DEAL with every. single. season having a slump for several eps and then BAM! It gets all fast paced and interesting towards the end? The following is SO SPOILERY that not only am I cutting it, I'm using Invisio-Text (hit CTRL + A to read) to protect the innocent!



LAMB. Sheriff Lamb, oh the smart-assed, super creepy LAMB. Dead. Pushing up daisies. He doth cease to be. I can honestly say I did NOT see that coming, but as I don't follow spoilers, watch the promos, etc... But being dead doesn't mean much, right? I think there's more there with him and we'll get some big reveal as the episodes go on. I mean, they brought back Madison, and let's not forget those two swapping spit in an elevator.

And good for Keith for being upset at getting his old job back. I did love him correcting the Dean's wife: "SHERIFF Mars." I love that Keith didn't burn any bridges. That Keith is relentless in his pursuit of justice. I love me some Daddy Mars.

I thought the scavenger hunt looked like a lot of fun, and it was great to see Logan do something other than pine in his own filth for a change. (And... I like Blonde Roommate - I can't remember her name, gah - and Logan together. What? I do! Plus, it makes room for Veronica and Piz, and I like me some Piz. I'd also like Veronica to be on her own without a man, too.) Logan's smile as he snapped a picture of Veronica in jail was great. He's getting his snark back, and THAT'S what we like to see. (I'm mourning the absence of Dick in this ep, as well as Piz.)

MAC. Oh, I like seeing her giggly and sure of herself. I think her boyfriend has something hidden, though. Hahaha, I don't trust ANYONE on this show, aside from Daddy mars, and I'm still waiting for more info on the Keith/Charisma Carpenter-arc. (Seriously, what's up with the Fitzpatricks? That was a cool story line!)

Just last week there were complaints about how non-ensemble this show has become. It's just been VM interacting with one or two people, and being pretty insensitive and OOC. Well, this ep. moved back closer to the original feel of the series, for me. WALLACE! Oh, he needed to be there more, but how great was his quip to Lamb? Hahahaha.

"I know you from somewhere..."
"Yeah, you told me to go see the Wizard and ask for some guts."
"Well, did you?"
"Yeah,he said to tell you that you're the only Sheriff in America that he considers a true friend of Dorothy."
[/rimshot]

I wonder how long that was in the works? Ha.

VM doing push ups with her tattoo on her arm, hahaha. Her teacher is moving beyond creepy to me, and I love how her dad was angling to be her new mentor, hee!

I don't want to be spoiled for anything to come. I just want to enjoy the show, especially if the pace is going to start amping up like it did in this one.

All I know is that tonight's Friday Night Lights may break my brain, if the promos can be trusted. I want to nibble on Matt Saracen's lower lip and make that stutter more pronounced, rawr. Haha.

It gets a back to the ensemble feel. Plus, there's Cliff and Vinnie snark, yay! :D

I have been so full of hate for VM lately (I know I should just stop watching, but I can't seem to let go), but last night barely made me angry at all. I was very pleased. I didn't see the Lamb thing coming at all (I also don't read spoilers or watch promos that often). I liked Logan and Parker. I liked that Mac was there and happy. I wonder if the CJD plot point will turn into a mad cow disease arc. I was thrilled that there was no mention of sexual violence.

The only moment that irked me was the friend of dorothy moment. I know it was clever and all, but I hate that gayness was used as an insult.

I hope last night represents the way the rest of the season will go.

PARKER. I could NOT remember her name, and I don't think they said it once on last night's show! I like that she was confident and fun, but not spazzy - they've let that character grow up some, which was nice.

My current guess is that Mentor!Prof hired Botando to off the Dean. At this point, I really don't care. I hope they MAKE me care, but mostly I want to see what dirt is going to come from Keith being sheriff again.

I was delighted with last night's episode, especially getting some Mac and Wallace into the mix. The last couple episodes dragged, and then, bam! Witty banter and action, action, action. They're the characters I love again.

This episode made me so happy! Keith and Veronica banter! And Cliff, who I adore. And since I could care less about who Logan bones, I was beyond happy that he became tolerable again.

Still, the bloom is off the rose for me. In fact, the rose has blackspot, I fear.

I gave up on VM earlier this season during the date rape arc. I don't miss anything about except Dick. I love Dick. The man AND the sexual organ.

I don't know if I told you this, but I'm not watching VM until the season's over, so thanks for the spoiler cut. Anyway. I'm really scared about it; I watched the first three or so eps this season, couldn't handle the commercials/wait time, and stopped. And I have not been impressed with my impression of what people think of it this year. Argh. I feel betrayed, and I haven't even watched it yet!

That said, their pacing is shit.

It's had its moments this season, but there's been a LOT of filler (said by me every season, incidentally) this year. I definitely prefer to watch large chunks at a time - it helps the pacing to be sure.

Man, I'm aaaaaaaaaaall about the cut tags. I messed up one time and I STILL smart over that.

I think that's why I liked S2 a lot better than other people I know. I watched it all at once and it was more like, "oh, phew, those two bad eps are over and it's good again!" than having to wait long drawn out months to *know* whether it would make sense. And not all of it did, but I still liked it a lot.

I did something unjust to VM. I watched it after FNL last night and was completely underwhelmed. But! It was MUCH better than it had been for some time. So.
