These pretzels are making me THIRSTY.
Mar. 1st, 2007 01:46 pm2) I have a million things to get done today, and all I can do is
3) I am stressed a bit because my husband who booked my flight for tomorrow booked me landing in the WRONG CITY. And there are no tickets for the RIGHT CITY. So. I'm renting a car from the WRONG CITY and driving 2 1/2 hours to the RIGHT CITY. (It's better than canceling, omg)
4) which means I need to make a mixtape, as
In other news, by this time tomorrow I will have two horsies to love on and a red heeler running in circles around me, which is very exciting. ANIMALS + BEST FRIEND EVER = happiness times a millionity.
I'm almost so chickenshit about this fic that I was thinking of posting it riiiiight as I left town. But it needs a beta, so DT? It's coming Monday.

Date: 2007-03-01 07:56 pm (UTC)How can it possibly be cheaper....? Can't you just? Oh hell, its airline stuff it's all screwy.
I highly recommend Prince's Musicology or Black Sweat (the video to that is hilarious, btw, hang on, brb. Must go look at collection.

Date: 2007-03-01 07:59 pm (UTC)It's about 800 bones to change my ticket, since I'm leaving at 6:50am TOMORROW. So. Rental car = free, because of husband's job, so. Cheaper.
Oh, baby girl I have EVERY. SINGLE. PRINCE album. He's what makes life worth living!

Date: 2007-03-01 08:02 pm (UTC)Good god, sometimes I hate the airlines, though if I hadn't worked for that one, I'd never have met J.
Prince roxors. Have you seen the video to Black Sweat? I guess it's pre-or pos having had his hip replaced, because he doesn't dance, but I'm telling you, HE DOESN'T HAVE TO.

Date: 2007-03-01 08:21 pm (UTC)I don't have any downloadable goodness, but I have suggestions. I'm really feelin' the new Nas, especially "Can't Forget About You". You will appreciate it. Oh, and Gym Class Heroes "The Queen and I", very amusing, and look into Mew, they're Dutch I believe, but their music's in English, kinda mellow, kinda haunty.
Be safe. Hands at 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock. No swerving.

Date: 2007-03-01 09:59 pm (UTC)OoooOOoooh, do I love Nas. Vinnie, I LOVE him. But I have not heard of Gym Class Heroes or Mew, so I am going to def. add that and get all kinds of excited!! That sounds just like my cup of tea.

Date: 2007-03-01 09:30 pm (UTC)I don't have any clever musical suggestions to offer you, unfortunately. But Nathan is playing the Animaniacs album, and boy am I enjoying it. Hee! I can offer you any and all tracks from that, if you like. How about Wakko singing the 50 states and their capitals? Or "I Am the Very Model of a Cartoon Individual?" "Be Careful What You Eat?"

Date: 2007-03-01 10:02 pm (UTC)Animaniacs, hahaha! "I am the very model" is a GREAT song! That makes me laugh. And you make me happy!!! (Oooh, we're thinking of a fmaily trip to NYC and Boston in May. Which means: VISITING YOU, hopefully!!!)

Date: 2007-03-02 01:58 am (UTC)So, Mr. S will be starting a project in NYC next week, and it goes through June. So, instead of him taking off a week in May when he's in his crunch time, we'll just come up to NYC and stay with him in his hotel and the kids and I will see the sights for a week! I thought a day trip into Boston might be fun, but I don't know the logistics of that yet. Is that even reasonable? I thought a day there to see the sights, visit with you and your fam, then back that night to NYC.
The dates we're looking at being there are May 25-June 1. *crosses fingers*

Date: 2007-03-05 04:17 pm (UTC)But why don't you stay with us? We would LOVE to have you! Come, stay with us for as long as you like. We can put up the whole family. It would be so much FUN!
But if you're pressed for time, and can't make it, I totally understand.

I have recently gone on a CD buying binge (about 25 CDs, all used). I hope to review them all this weekend.
In very sad news, younger son did not put the recycling bins away properly so when I got of my car, I tripped and fell in the garage, skinning both my knees. STONY, I AM WOUNDED.

Date: 2007-03-02 03:03 am (UTC)Ooooh, I think I have most of that covered (I'm burning CDs now) with the exception of your cool 80s Boxset (whoa! That sounds AWESOME) and Magnetic Fields and Buzzcocks. (I'm not a fan of Bruce, so I'll just leave all of that for you to enjoy *g*)
I look forward to your reviews when I get back, yay!! And I'm giving your son stern looks for inadvertently hurting mama.
