10o mph winds here, currently. Fence is gone. Like, we saw some of it in the street in a lightning flash. 1 rocking chair gone. 1 plant + stand gone. FENCE. The fence is gone. Hay-soos.

Well, I know what the Mister and I will be doing this weekend: getting a new fence. =p

All are well! Sally (the dog you haven't met) is an utter basket case and was trembling enough to set the sofa shaking.

Yes, NO MORE BREEZE, KTHX. :D

We're fine, we're fine. A little freaked that our 6 foot solid wood fence is lying halfway in the street, but fine.

*squish*

Laughing at the Gunn icon, hahaha! We're all fine! It was SO LOUD and the water was coming down like a car wash for a bit, then the Boy moaned, "oh no!" (Turns out he thought his croquet set was gone. It ended up in some bushes *g*)

I will send you... wallflowers? College is FULL of them. Also Oxford has huge amounts of wisteria and lilac - lots of pink, for some reason, whereas all the white finished about three weeks ago.

Oooh, lilac! The wisteria is all done, here. I have white in my sweat peas and... Oooh, I have some anenomes blooming. Otherwise it's all blues, purples and yellow. The reds are amping up, YAY.

Wallflowers are actual flowers? (We call them shy girls, hee!)

Yes! They are. Ha, do you not have them there? Cottage garden type flower - they grow in the quadrangles because they're so sheltered.

My essay will not BE DONE.

YIKES. I heard one was spotted in Cleburne earlier, but nothing close to us. Then again, we're on satellite, so we can't get up to the second forecasts, BAH.

Was the downtown? Holy Crow!

They're lovely! Sort of old-fashioned looking? Unusual colours too, ochre and things. They look a bit like flames when you get a lot.

Think will work til 3 then sleep for a while and carry on. Bloody thing is past 3,200 words now.

That's so funny, because we're going to do some fence shopping this weekend too. Of course, ours is because we never had a fence and we want one so we can get a dog-door for Buddy.

I nail your feet to the ground! Not because of the high winds, just because I'm bored.

I will cross my fingers that gods wrath at you dissipates soon.

I'm about 10 minutes away from downtown Dallas - I think it was trying to form, but it didn't get any purchase, just a little rotation - which I'm very very grateful for. And it moved off east really fast, too There were sirens going off, though, that's for sure.

Stay safe! And, take heart! Maybe one of your neighbors will lose THEIR fence, and you'll find it in your yard in the morning!

might have something to do with that lack of believing in them.... I say get some whiskey and pour it out in the yard to appease the fairy folk and the angry rain gods!

I haven't been posting, so you haven't missed anything. Buddy is doing great. We're walking and he's spending a lot of time laying in the backyard (hooked to his runner).

My training? Ha ha! I keep meaning to start but our weather's been crappy this week and I've been unusually tired (I went to sleep at 9:45 last night, had trouble waking up at 7am, napped for 1.5 hours this afternoon, and could probably go to sleep right now (it's almost 8).

But I have a training schedule that is for 8 weeks to a tri and as of this coming weekend I still have 11 weeks, so I'm going to just keep walking the dog this week and start with "week 1" this Sunday.

I'm waiting on a work check right now, when it comes I'm going to register for the walk. I can set up our team then if you're not ready to register yet.
