10o mph winds here, currently. Fence is gone. Like, we saw some of it in the street in a lightning flash. 1 rocking chair gone. 1 plant + stand gone. FENCE. The fence is gone. Hay-soos.

Well, I know what the Mister and I will be doing this weekend: getting a new fence. =p

All are well! Sally (the dog you haven't met) is an utter basket case and was trembling enough to set the sofa shaking.

Yes, NO MORE BREEZE, KTHX. :D

Laughing at the Gunn icon, hahaha! We're all fine! It was SO LOUD and the water was coming down like a car wash for a bit, then the Boy moaned, "oh no!" (Turns out he thought his croquet set was gone. It ended up in some bushes *g*)

YIKES. I heard one was spotted in Cleburne earlier, but nothing close to us. Then again, we're on satellite, so we can't get up to the second forecasts, BAH.

Eeek! Batten down the hatches!

We were under a tornado watch earlier and there was HAIL. In the desert. In MAY. It's armageddon I tell ye, ARMAGEDDON!

I saw that! I saw there were tornados in NM and your area, what on EARTH? That's pretty rare for y'all, I know. Now, I expect weird weather in Amarillo, but El Paso?

If it's the end of the world (as we know it, repeat 3x) I feel fine. YES I SAID IT.

And now begins the arduous task of cleanup... (thanks for the worry.)

The most important question: is the croquet set safe? How else will I take The Boy down next time?!?!? Priorities, Stoney, priorities.

For real, though, holy smokes! I think the Mormons are pissssssed at you and are taking vengeance.

I bet Sally *freaked.* Poor Sally. I miss her. :(

Most importantly, I hope everyone is okay. Yikes! What an interesting (read: scary) evening!

We lost two balls and a mallet, but that means it's one with a one to one competition, so YOU ARE GOOD TO GO.

The fence? From the BBQ grill and the patio furniture all the way down to that trellis on the wall? GONE. O_O

We're fine, Sally wet herself, and then felt bad about it. Ahahaha. *mops*

Eeeep. At least you didn't end up in Oz!
That's some scarey winds you have in Texas; guess it fits with the everything is bigger in Texas theme, eh? I thought it was windy here this evening; all the cherry blossoms were flying off the trees, it looked like it was snowing out. But there were no flying fences..

Or land on a witch!

We do - it doesn't last too long, and I don't remember such a season as this one, to boot. It should start mellowing out and just getting hot and sunny in a week or two. *battens down the hatches*

Eeek to the wind! We will do a wind-calming dance, yes.

The rocking chair! Oh no!

Ack, good luck with getting/installing the new fence.

Hahaha, what's funny is that #2 had a ball game last night that she was afraid would be rained out, so she did a "rain dance" on the tram-ampoline, and I told her when she was done that she just called the rain, not repelled it. :D

IT'S ALL HER FAULT. (I found the rocking chair across the street! DUDE.)

*ties eight-way knots to you to keep me down!*

You know, people not from here say how scary it is, etc., but yeah: I love it. And when those awesome lightening storms roll across the sky? And you can sit on your back porch and watch the fireworks? Crack a beer can and you've got perfection. :)

Holy moly! Were you hiding in the bathroom while this was going on? Sounds like a scary time. I hope that putting in the new fence is not too onerous a task. But I'm glad the damage isn't worse -- what about your roof? Still nailed on tight? That's always my biggest worry after a rough wind.

Date: 2007-05-03 04:31 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] stoney321.livejournal.com
Actually, we were watching AI and Harry Potter (two tvs) and didn't realize how bad it was outside! I just thought we were getting a torrential downpour, then the Boy hollered that the fence was gone. :O

Not a shingle missing! We secured them all after the last big storm, so the Mister was pretty proud of his carpentry skills when I called to tell him. :D

(I owe you an email! I'm flying in three directions at once, but I'll get in touch by this weekend, promise!)
