• I have seen so many macros over the past few days that I'm talking in real life like them. Example, when I changed my shirt this morning I said to my husband: My boobs. Let me show you them.


• I am baking this cake for my Emily (she's 6 today!) and for me (I'm 35 tomorrow!) with the exceptions: One layer of the cake mix will go in a 10 inch springform pan, the other in a 5 in. That way there can be a mom and baby bunny. D'AWWW. (For the record: lemon cake, lemon curd filling + frosting with coconut. Mmmm.)


• My music: Let me share you them. Hector Lavoe: Timbalero (this is the salsa artist that J. Lo and Mark "Skeletor" Anthony's movie is about) and Prince: Black Sweat because it is just damn funky. I have his new album and I am grooving - dude, Wendy and Lisa are on it!! Uploads to follow.


• I want to play in an RPG as Prince again, because that was the crackiest thing I ever did. Man, that poo was funny as aitch ee double hockey sticks. (I still love the CyberDyne manual Prince got for his robotic arm. I may be the only person, but that poo makes me laugh my buns off.)


• Literally, these people are stupid. Figuratively, they make my hed asplode. Ahahaha.


• exercising outdoors when there is a heat index of 108 is not smart. I am WIPED. OUT.


• I do not want to put this last coat of paint on the cabinets because I am lazy and want to sleep all day. But I cannot. *drags feet* *cranks up music* Ahhh, that's better.

Oh, wow! I have been looking for those cake instructions for years (mostly to show other people, because by now I can make it in my sleep)--that is the Easter cake tradition in my house (and has been since I was about 18 months old, apparently), to the point where we have it now when neither person living here celebrates Easter.

We used to have it when I was a kid, too, and the only recipes I could find were the flat bunny faces, and those blow. I want the coconut grass and jelly bean eyes! :D

I'm making it slightly different today in that I'm not using jelly beans for eyes, I've baked sugar cookies and turned the scraps into eyes and a nose with colored icing. \o/

I was sending an email to an adjusting company to get a report in and I LITERALLY TYPED: "I can haz report, plz?"

I caught myself right before hitting 'send', giggled, ::backspace backspace backspace::, and retyped, "Craig. This report is overdue. Please forward ASAP. Thanks."

Ack! That "literally" web site is a hoot! I remember when Evan was reading the Lemony Snicket books, one of them explained the meaning of "literal" and "figurative" very clearly, and Evan was so exercised by a misuse of "literally" that he overheard... Ever after he could not abide it! There's nothing like a kid with new information. It's like they're on a mission to change the world, you know?

Isn't that page funny? That (and the use of "impact" when people mean "affect") is a huge pet peeve of mine. I love that about Evan! Nothing makes me happier than a smart child with a head full of knowledge.

When Aaron was two, I had my sister make him a Tigger cake. She thought she was going to come over and draw Tigger on a sheet cake with icing. But no, I had instructions on how to cut the cake up into 50 different pieces and then reassemble it into Tigger. She did it and it was fantastic but she swore if I tried that again, she would torture me to death. HA!

I am going to take my walk now. It is 8:30 at night and somewhat bearable.

We used to make a cake like that when I was a kid every Easter! Only after the first one I remember, my mom would leave the coconut off, because neither my sister or I like shredded coconut. I like the flat one with the bow tie and ears too. I also think the world is in 2-D, WHAT?
