Bonus points to people who get the reference in the subject header. (And if anyone knows what happened to my Swingline stapler, that would be nice.) Also, I'll be honest with you, I love his music, I do, I'm a Michael Bolton fan. For my money, I don't know if it gets any better than when he sings "When a Man Loves a Woman." (hahaha.) "Seems like you've been missing a lot of work lately. " "I wouldn't say that I've been 'missing' it, Bob."
Random Things:
Um, I'm boring/random when there is no drama in my life. :)
Random Things:
- Life is good
- I know unequivocally that if I post She's The Man fic you all will run like I'm shooting at you. Understood. *G*
- My Emily has a project in 1rst grade where she's to interview an adult, then dress up like them and tell the class about that person. She informed her teacher that she couldn't interview me because I "only wear a bra to work." !!!! Um, how could she forget my red, white, and blue tassels? Emily also informed her that I'm "in movies [she] can't see." Great, now they'll think I'm in some pornos, instead of a horror movie. Hahaha, her teacher emailed me and let me know (she's a funny lady.) Turns out, she's a wanna be writer, too, so we chatted quite a bit about writing, books, etc. Very cool.
- I have a second acting gig, I'll be taking staged family photos for it on Sunday (I won't miss the Super Bowl, I've been promised.) If you're interested, here's the movie info. It's in the beginning stages, so not a lot of info. The director is someone I worked on Blood on the Highway with, and he's been winning all sorts of Indie/short film awards for some of his other films. Pretty cool, and he's a really nice guy.
- There is a major festival that Blood on the Highway has a showing, in the coveted midnight spot. I don't think I'm allowed to say officially, yet, but still: very cool.
- I want a creme caramel (like flan) in my mouth this evening, followed by the delicious sounding wine the local wine brigade professes to be perfect with it (Campbells Rutherglen Muscat, Australia. Other notable wines listed: Rotta Black Monukka Dessert Sherry - I had a glass of this at Fearings and it is a FANTASTIC ending wine - Anselmi I Capitelli, 2003) Where did this wine love come from? Oh, right. I was out of Silver Patron and had to make do. *g*
- I'm liking Pinot Noirs and Grigios now, one to try is The Four Graces, Willamette Valley, 2006.
- (Sorry to bore some of you with this wine talk - I use this as a list maker for myself.)
- I am almost all caught up on Battlestar Galactica (ep. 16, S3 is next, then the remaining eps, and finally Razor - NO SPOILERS, PLEASE) and I think it may be one of my most favorite shows EVER. I'm just going to put out there right now that I want Kara/Lee all the time. And then for them to be ripped apart. And then sweaty, angsty, "we can't keep doing this!" sex. Ungh. And I want Bill Adama and Laura Roslin to hold hands and rock on a porch, enjoying each others company. Hahahaha. Um, and more Cylons. :D
- I'm having Pho for lunch today, and I'm very excited. Oooh, Lee. I think maybe I'll get that chicken curry soup again. YUMMY FLAVORS IN MY MOUTH, PLEASE.
- ...I think I'm brave enough to actually cut the silk fabric today. (omg, what if I didn't measure right??? *deep breath*

Hie thee here, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oz_and_James's_Big_Wine_Adventure) wherein there's a wiki description of one of my favorite BBC series, almost ever. I know it's available on torrents, but if you can't snag it, I'll burn you DVDs of them (once I get an external DVD burner, to make sure I take my precious data from my US computer to Australia).

In what world is WINE talk boring?! Or BSG? Or kids tarnishing (polishing?) your reputation?
Not a world I wanna live in.

Huzzah for developments on the new movie front!
Among other things that arrived from Amazon yesterday: Bring it On. Now I'll finally be able to write that Missy/Torrance/Cliff threesome fic, yayayay!

I'm in the middle of "Razor" as we speak. I love BSG!

Oooooh. I plan on being to that point by this weekend. That show is TERRIFIC.

Date: 2008-01-30 04:13 pm (UTC)Stoney, I'm having DRAMA in my life today, and not the good kind that gets you an imdb page. Stupid horrible drama caused by a stupid horrible person who is out to get me.
So all day as my mantra to get me through the quagmire of stupid, I am going to imagine that your statement, "YUMMY FLAVORS IN MY MOUTH" is a nifty.org story, because you KNOW there is a story called that.
And yes, I realize, that when dealing with possibly being blackmailed, ones' mantra should probably not be poorly written porn. But bad porn makes everything better. My Stoney taught me that.
Not to mention, hello? When in hell did I become a person people try to blackmail? And it's even LAME blackmail. This person clearly has not read "Blackmail for Fun and Profit."

Date: 2008-01-30 04:34 pm (UTC)I cannot believe someone is trying to blackmail you! Do you need to talk? Email/call if so! I have Texas Woman 'Tude and can handle up on some bidness, if necessary. *gets bowed up and rowdy*

Also, people who don't like She's the Man fic are lame. Trufax.
She informed her teacher that she couldn't interview me because I "only wear a bra to work." !!!! I think I just scared the office with my shout of laughter. Oh, Miss Emily.
Nom nom nom, I want that Pad Thai again. SO FLIPPING GOOD. Good luck with the curtains today. *crosses fingers*

Thank you,

That is the funniest story I have ever heard. It's a good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I read your post, or I would've sprayed my monitor with cranberry juice.
I'm liking Pinot Noirs and Grigios now, one to try is The Four Graces, Willamette Valley, 2006.
Thanks for the rec. I've been getting into wines more and more but I still don't know very much about them.

Date: 2008-01-30 04:38 pm (UTC)I don't know much about wines, either. I know what I like, which... isn't helpful when branching out. *g* Our local paper has a weekly wine guide with the wine panel's suggestions, and so far, I've liked everything they've printed. If you get that Four Graces before me, tell me what you think!
(So far the best wine I've ever had was Silver Oak, 2003. Holy crap. Party in my MOUTH. I think I really like Burgundies, too.)

Date: 2008-01-30 08:36 pm (UTC)Hahahaha! Oh fantastic. But hey, Emily's mother is now a movie star! YAY!! Even if she is a half naked one with a crippling muscat addiction (hmmm muscat, the sweet, sweet crack of wines).
I want to see two Cylons rocking back and forth on a porch as their warranty years are behind them, lovingly reaching over to grind sections of rust off each other.
If you screw up the curtains you can always turn them into bras for your job.

Date: 2008-01-30 11:17 pm (UTC)Dude, muscat is SO GOOD. One day I will be as knowledgeable on wines as you. Read: as big a lush. Any of your holiday bottles left? (I only have one bottle of champagne left from the 10 I bought for New Years. I spend the night alone. HAhahaha.)

What kind of silk and what are you making? As some one with a silk addiction The first time cutting Silk can be scary but it gets less nevre racking the more you work with the fabric. I find it fun.
