One, this recipe is maybe the most perfect thing ever.

2 parts tequila (silver, please. BLANCO TEQUILA ES MUY BIEN!)
1 part lemoncello (I <3 U, Southern Italians. Gratzi.)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tsp simple syrup (or agave nectar if you can get it - it's kinda good for you, says vegans and helath-type folks)
club soda.

Shake first four, ice in glass, pour over top, top with club soda. (If you can get Tampico club soda, there's nothing better.)

HI SUMMER. YOU ARE NOW IN MY MOUTH. Mmmmm.

Two: this picture has been cracking me up every time I think of it. (Under the cut to spare those of you with dial up.)

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!I laugh every single time.....

I've got fresh ears of corn that are going to get cut off the cob, lightly salted and peppered, and eaten raw. That's how good and sweet these ears are. OM NOM NOM. hello summer, with your delicious treats to soothe me when it's triple digits outside... (Think 38 - 40 C folks in UK, etc.)

Lil is quite possibly one of my all time favorite characters in anything. "He's too stupid to be free!" That show is one of my all-time faves.

I started a re-write of HP with Rusty as Harry Potter. I should finish that, it cracked me up. (He looked at Filch with love, because he reminded him of his daddy.)

I think what I love about it the most is how it's Jeff Foxworthy making fun of his market base.

Have you ever listened to the guy that voices Early Cuyler, Unknown Hinson? He has songs like "I ain't afraid (of your husband)" and that makes the world a better place.

"Oh, scratch off tickets with yore delicious silvery seasonings..."

WHUT?

Unexpected Harry Potter reference is unexpected. Hee.

ALSO, I am coming to your house to eat your food RIGHT NOW. Pour me a drink baby.

(Also, I was thinking of you when watching The Barefoot Contessa make frozen mango daquiris and putting them in little plastic bags in the freezer, because she'd made enough for her guests plus "some for emergencies." I like the idea of daquiri emergencies.)

I have some yummy black bean chipotle dip and blue corn tortilla chips. YUM.

LOL, that's a great idea - ER daquiris! I'm not typically a frozen drink drinker, but that's because I'm a lush - they tend to have less alcohol, hee. But let's face it: if it's cold and the mercury's rising, I'll down it.

Ina - ye Contessae - said that if the drink doesn't blend well when you re-blender it to chop up the ice, adding more rum is *never* a bad idea. :)

If you ever come visit me in New England, I shall take you out to our local bar for the best mojitos and margaritas in the valley. It's true; they won a thing and got put in a book and everythang.

We actually - for a town of 2,000 - have two restaurant/bars with write-ups in Yankee Magazine's "Best of New England."

Uh-huh, I am having out of town guests next week, why do you ask?

IT WILL NOT BE PUKE. I don't do that anymore. I hold it all in and look haggard and sad the next day - MUCH better for you, I find.

(Have you have lemoncello? You can actually make it yourself, fairly easily, too, but I'm impatient and like things done for me.)

I had a BAD experience with Lemoncello, and not the kind you might first think. Went to a food and wine expo and they were giving the stuff away in shooters. It was only until I took a gulp that I saw the bin behind me overflowing with full plastic glasses of this, the foulest substance known to man. It was disgusting! It mad my mouth sad. :(

And I never played the piano again.

Ewww, it must have been punky or something. Mine tastes like lemon-infused vodka. So, you know, delicious. There are all kinds of it, though, some people make it with grain-alcohol, some with vodka. Maybe the kind offered was the grain-alcohol kind? Kinda turpentiney? That would make me want to cry if that got in my mouth.

And then I wouldn't know how to read any more.

It was cloying alcoholic syrup. Good for getting diabetic kids drunk though.

And I never smelt the scent of fresh rain beating upon a meadow of flowers again.

Ah, that is too much. That's why my glass is happy making, it's tart and fresh and not overly sweet (I don't like that, either.)

And I never heard the melodious sounds of children's laughter again... Nor the braying of donkeys, so it evened out.
