ANYONE in the state of Florida: if you, or someone you know, would love to properly care and love a full grown dog, please go to THIS POST and contact her.

Don't let a beloved family dog end up in a pound if you could help.

Absolutely! And I'm sure your friend already knows this, but posting at available dog-rescue online forums, at breed (or mix, or mutt) specific boards/forums/communities totally, totally helps. That's how I found Frankie, via a friend of a friend who saw it on the bengal cat community on LJ re-posted from a cat-rescue forum on another website. I mean, what, five degrees of separation at least.

Oh, man, I wish I lived anywhere near Florida and that my cat didn't hate all things canine. I just spent a whole week babysitting my mom's dogs and pining for one of my own.

I have a couple friends in Florida, though, I'll ask around! And I'll re-post the link, help boost her signal a little bit.
