See? I'm not the only one that thinks you should dress up a touch for a wedding. That's gratifying. :) I for one am ready for the pendulum to swing back to dressing for the occasion. I don't want to go to "touch up your lipstick and don't bother your man when he gets home from work" days, just, I love dressing up.

Speaking of, I'm going to put on some waders, pasties with tassels, and a top hat and go to church today. It's what Emily Post would want, you guys.

I also have to finish cleaning house, start the laundry, vacuum/clean my car, bake 2 dozen cupcakes, finish prep for my daughter's birthday, and get us all packed to go out of town for Memorial Day weekend. Meanwhile, this book won't read itself... NO. I NEED TO BE GOOD. but I'll probably lame out later and sit and read....

You know, Miss C has recently started carrying a purse, and I was telling my sister how, when I visited you, your girls would be all ready and hair-brushed and adorable purses in their hands whenever we went out. :D They are so cute and girls, and really, #2 is like a young woman practically now????

OH MISS C!!! *wraps her up in sunshine and kitten whiskers* I just love that dressing up stage little girls go through. (And little boys in their play-acting stage, too, with the Superman capes, and cowboy gear! <3)

#2 is TALLER THAN ME. She is in so much trouble for that, because she is STILL GROWING. I think she'll top out at 6 feet, honestly. She's so lovely and funny and smart and kind and the NICEST BIG SISTER, it's really ridiculous. Emily is all about doing whatever #2 does, and she takes it all with such humor. Emily will repeat a joke #2 just made and she'll look at me and laugh while shaking her head. I hope she never goes through that eye rolling, "SHUT UP!" phase. <3 <3 <3!!!

It's FUN to dress up. And if I had My way, there would be no flip flops (bad for the feet, no support, makes your arches fall) or those damn plastic things that I hate so much I can't remember the name of them. I've never seen one person walk gracefully in them - they all look as though they're about to trip and fall. Crocs. That's what they're called. They make your feet sweat and get stinky...

Well, sorry. If I want to go on and on about footwear, I will do that in MY lj.

It really, really is! And I am RIGHT THERE WITH YOU on the crocs! Gleh. The only flip flops I wear are a pair of Clarks that have a built in arch support. mostly I'm in my Birks in the summer, though. They make my feet happy. (Or barefoot, because I'm southern to the core. Lol.)

HAHAHAHA 13. Oh, how I burn to tell you the horrors in which I was engaged at 13. But then you might reach through the internets and slaughter me.

I wear jeans and t-shirts to work all the time, and in the depths of summer, cargo shorts and tank tops. And above all, trainers. So whenever we have a posh members-only event at a museum or gallery, or a gala that must be attended, everyone always does the :O face at me when I show up in random couture and stilty heels. IT IS VERY ENTERTAINING, especially because the bitchy office manager is always snarking at my supposed total lack of fashion sense.

I take no snark from a woman who thinks that bleaching a moustache makes it invisible. NEWSFLASH, LADY: YOU LOOK LIKE A CONFEDERATE GENERAL.

Oh, I was once 13, too. And everything I need to know about modern 13 year olds I learned from Holly Hunter's movie. I'm getting my kid a pipe of her very own, so she doesn't just Maguyver some honey bear shit. They always forget the carburetor, silly kids.

LOL! at this very moment I am wear some knee-length cargo shorts (they're super cute, too) and a tank top and my Birks. And HOLY CRAP, BLEACH DOESN'T MAKE IT INVISIBLE, YES YES YES. Jesus, get that shit waxes, plucked, electrocuted, or threaded. I'm a HUGE FAN of threading.
