Last thing!
Nov. 21st, 2011 10:51 amI want to brag about one of HDJM's writer's daughter. She emailed me and asked if she could design some artwork for the Hey, Don't Judge Me store. Well, lemme see what you got, kid. (She is a kid, too.)

She's only 14 years old. Adorable! I love that he's winking (and if you go to our store and look at the flat images - the mugs show up the most clear on LJ, which is why I use that - you'll see the "Pepsi" on the sofa.
How cute is that?
So what, you want to make a kid cry? Buy a damn magnet, what you don't have things you need to hold up? If we get good sales, we'll add a Paula. :)
Those that have bought items from our stores have said how happy they were with their purchase, so, I'm just saying. You might look into some fandom love for this holiday shopping time. (Hahaha. I'm pathetic. I'm just trying to earn money for these girls, that's all.)
Feel free to pass the links around, link people here, whatever. Let's make a kid's dream come true of being a commercial artist. <3
[ETA] And if there's a product you'd LIKE to see that isn't there, drop me a line and I'll add it post haste! :)

Date: 2011-11-21 11:57 pm (UTC)Also, Stoney, we need to talk about Real Housewives. It's currently my preferred comfort/horror/AMAZE viewing, and I have you to thank.

HOLY SMOKES IS IT NOT CRAZY AWESOME AWFUL?! Oh my goodness, if ever you feel bad about life, watch an episode and revel in how you are so much better off. :)

Date: 2011-11-22 12:07 am (UTC)IT'S AMAZING. I can't read your reviews properly because I'm catching up. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I love how tacky they are. I love that at first I was all "why does Stoney like Kyle and why is she SO in love with Lisa" and now it's episode 3 or something and omfg i AM WITH YOU. I also sort of love how dog-rough Adrienne's face is, and my god Camille has multiple nannies, WHAT IS THAT?
I love Lisa. i love her so much. I love how she and her husband actually like each other. And that she cooks food with her hands.
Also, I'm post "my housemate was never taught to do housework and I am having to condition her STEP BY STEP to make her a human being" confrontation, which went well and was adult but now I'm just going to lie in bed watching Taylor buy diamonds for her daughter's fourth birthday. SO GOOD, SO TERRIBLE.
(but seriously. she's 27. I am not exactly over-burdened with life skills and yet jesus christ.)

Date: 2011-11-22 12:25 am (UTC)And I love that Lisa cooks actually food as well!! Seriously, I want to sit in her lap, bury my face in her ample bosom and have her rock me to sleep.
(Holy shit, no, that is unacceptable, I totally and completely support you in your inner rage. I MEAN WHAT ON EARTH? How are these people allowed out of homes??)

Date: 2011-11-22 12:37 am (UTC)(I don't KNOW. We live in a leetle house and it's nineteenth-century-terraced and a bitch to heat. She's very, very, very wealthy - we're talking chauffeured car to the airport wc is ninety minutes by bus that leaves 5 mins' walk from our house, parents own a big art gallery, lots of credit cards, multiple foreign holidays a year - all as a student. I am the doted-on only child of doting parents etc but I ACQUIRED SKILLS. both our mothers are houseproud but mine doesn't have HELP. my parents took me to IKEA and loaded the car to move me in. hers gave us designer furniture out of their storage unit, the family PA organised a moving van etc. She is SO LOVELY and I LOVE HER but oh my god I can't tell you, Stoney. it's everything bit by bit and she's quite anxious about it but I am a mix of acknowledging I am totally Monica about clean/tidy etc, and also thinking one needs to KNOW and maintain that
- we will get damp if we do not deal with condensation etc in the bathroom as it occurrs
- we save money by drawing the curtains in the evening, because then rooms don't get as cold, so they don't require as much heat!
- we need to sweep the path when leaves are on it because it is an old, tiled path, and it will turn to slimy slippy deathtrap
- we need to put cleaner down the sink or it will block and that's just not fun times
- DO YOUR DAMNED DISHES i mean er
anyway yes sorry. *breathes* But I know you like a clean house too.

Date: 2011-11-22 01:22 am (UTC)Oh, that is SO TRYING. Such basics, and you know, if she cannot learn those things, then she's going to have to fork over more money to PAY TO FIX THOSE THINGS. But not cleaning up your dishes? Inexcusable! for God's sake, carry your plate to the sink.

Date: 2011-11-22 01:29 am (UTC)YES. Also, the rest of us are/will too. YES. Also, putting dirty dishes in the sink is not DOING dishes.
