  • First, last night's Hoarders hit me right in the heart-boxer, ja. Alvin is an elderly man that has all but been shunned by his family - and it's pretty evident that he has undiagnosed autism. Yeah, that one hits close to home. (The other story has a man that was an OUTSTANDING artist, and I'm completely serious when I say I want one of his pieces.) Here is the recap.
  • Teen Wolf's rewatch continues with S1E7 - Night School, and if showrunners can give Liz praise for her hilarious awesomeness, then you should, too. :)
  • Janey's wildly popular Doctor Who recaps await you, and here's S7E5, The Angels Take Manhattan. (Eee! Weeping Angels!!)
  • Speaking of popular, Dexter's new season started, and Samantha has a discussion post for the season opener waiting for you.

And remember, if you like what you read, won't you +1, "Like," tumblr, share links? Everyone works for free and everyone writes because they love talking about great TV. A little praise goes a long way. <3

Second, thank you to all who have been sending me notes of love and support. It truly means so much to me and my son. Thank you thank you. <3

Third, I am having a business lunch with my writer buddy and a producer to see if we can't get that gardening show idea I had off the ground. The goal: shoot 3 - 6 episodes, put them online, and market them to DIY. I mean... performing, writing, AND gardening? That's pretty much everything I love. Throw in a glass of wine at the end (I actually want to do that, sit in the garden after we've worked with a glass of vino and wrap it up) and my life might be complete.

Have a WONDERFUL DAY!

Great idea, the gardening show..right down to the glass of wine at the end. Perhaps you can get a local winery to help 'sponsor' the show?

I admire your son more than I can possibly say, and because you (and your husband) raised him, I admire you guys as parents. When you look up 'unconditional love' in the dictionary your pictures are there beside the definition.

So.

Ugh, Texas wine is gross. I feel like a traitor saying that, but it's true. Maybe a local wine shop! :D

Aww, you are VERY SWEET, and I need to not tear up, okay? <3 <3 (Thank you. He's a good egg, that boy.)

I love the DIY gardening show idea! I hope fervently that if you do it you create some beginner shows. I have just gotten interested in gardening and I have no idea where to start. Like, at all.

Also - I went through junior high and high school in the late 70s and early 80s and I came out of the closet in the mid-80s. None of my gay male friends had families that fought for them or tried to help and protect them. Most of them had been disowned. Reading about what your son is going through and how you and your husband are supporting him is amazing for me. It does my heart good to know that there are people like you (and your son) out there. So thank you for that and cheers to your family.

I hope the show works out, too! You are my target audience!! :D

*hugs you tight* I think there are far more families supporting their children as they claim their sexuality today, which is amazing. It's definitely a different world than when I was a kid. My husband comes from a wonderfully open-minded family - being gay was just like having red hair or a sports car. A part of you, but not a definition of you in total. My parents...well, they're getting there.

Hearing about so many people that struggled and lost their families just breaks my heart. I mean, that's my CHILD. I don't know how to turn that off. I'm just lucky he's a great human, quite honestly. <3

The show idea is fantastic right down to the celebratory glass of vino in the garden you've just "saved." I hope the business lunch goes well.

I've been thinking about you and your son. What a shitty thing to happen though the support is heartening. I hope his attacker gets caught.

And if they're not wine drinkers, I can have my wine and offer them a beer, or whatever. :D (And...I have crews that can film in Austin, I'm just saying. If you have a problem area, I would love to see if we could do something about that? Just putting that bee in your bonnet.)

Re: jackass that punched my son. I hope so, too. I think there are enough people on this at the school that he'll be found eventually. And then charges will be pressed, without question.

I don't have a problem area, I have a problem yard! All we grow are weeds. Fortunately, some of the weeds bloom (there are volunteer red salvias all over the back yard right now).

Aye, aye, Captain! Just know that if I can pull it off, I would love to highlight friend's problems/solve the problem. :D

You guys have been on my heart as we say here in the sticks. I'm so thrilled to hear of the support that's come your way.

The gardening show sounds like a winner (and I would watch for your quips alone!) fingers crossed for luncheon success!

*hugs hugs hugs* Thanks, Miss Sue. I know I can always count on you for support. <3

Wouldn't that be a fun show?! (And as I have crews in DFW and Austin, it's a short drive to OKC... Maybe we could do a little something-something if it works out?)

I would LOVE that! If you could show me how to keep something alive beyond daylillies and one sad ruellia, I would shower you in guacamole! But possibly not literally.

Instead of a shower, how about a Japanese soaking tub of guac? You can use corn tortillas as tile, I won't mind.

That would be AWESOME! Try not to screw too many takes up or you'll be Julia Childing the crap out of it, though granted the hit count would go up - you have my permission to throw up in your garden.

Also hugs to you and yours!

I AM EXCITE, D! I think it could be fun to have me Julia Child stumbling all over the garden with a sharp implement in my hand. Whee!! We'll keep the fellas into video games interested!

Nope, I haven't.

And I'd rather not watch it since I'm trying to get my own show going and don't want any streams crossed.
