My day so far. Still have to: get tires checked, respond to more emails, schedule next week's meeting, outline a shooting schedule for three episodes, write episodes, organize memoir to send to FM, shop for something nice to wear on vacation, make sure all dr. appointments are organized for the week, pick up dry cleaning, figure out dinner.

HEY GUYS I STILL HAVE GARDENING TO DO, TOO. *falls over* Can someone send me a wife? Or a personal assistant? I don't care which.

*brings you a fresh hot cup of tea and pushes you gently down into a chair for a few minutes of peace and quiet*

I hope the grasshoppers were properly cowed.

And don't worry about the memoir today if you don't have the time! <3

I have both of those things now, peace AND quiet! (And the tea and I'm sitting!)

The memoir is something I WANT to do - I need everyone to step back and handle things on their own now. *deeeeeeeep breath*

You go-getter, you!

So far I've gone on a walk, cracked a fuck ton of pecans (they're all over the neighborhoods, why am I the only one picking them up?!?), and eaten two toasted pecan snickerdoodles. that's about par for the course around here.

You need to get your kids to think being your personal assistant is excellent real world experience and a great way to get into the college of their choice. I'm sure you'd write a kick ass recommendation letter :D

Ooooh, pecans! NOM NOM. I miss having a pecan tree. Yeah, they're messy, but PECANS!!! I can't believe everyone isn't going to town - they are my favorite nut.

Hahaha, I like your suggestion! I'll get started on those letters ASAP.

The neighborhoods within walking distance of my house were built in the late 40's and early 50's and when we moved in there were a lot of 50 to 70 year olds who would pick up their pecans and use them for Thanksgiving and Christmas baking. They've since died or moved on and the twenty and thirty somethings that have moved in don't do a thing with the nuts. It's grackle and squirrel central!

I had a pecan roller that I'd take on walks. It's a wheeled cage on the end of a handle (if you're not familiar) and would pick up nuts as I pushed the stroller. THEN IT WAS FUDGE AND BAKING TIME. <3

I have been looking for a pecan roller at estate sales (see above about died or moved on)! For now I consider the nut collecting as part of my exercise routine.

FUDGE!!! I have not made that in too long.

I got mine at Tru-Value hardware. If there's one of those or an Ace nearby, they usually carry them. :)

Hey. This has nothing to do with your post. Our Water Aerobic workout today was to a 'cast of Glee' CD.

Hi!

AHAHA, that's awesome! Isn't it funny when Glee songs infiltrate real life? <3

Did you ever get to drink your tea? The suspense is killing me!

I wish I could be your wife. Can we be all 1950s about it, and you come home to a martini and me in a peignoir trying to put the magic back?

I JUST FINISHED IT. Literally. Just now. It...was quite cold.

I APPROVE OF THIS PLAN 100%. Just be sure to freshen your lipstick before I walk in, okay? I mean, I've worked all day, the least you could do is a touch up. <3

Ha, I laughed at the tea thing because that happens to me too. Thank god for the microwave. I use it more than I use the actual kettle.

Nathan found a grasshopper on our porch yesterday! Yikes! I hate them too. I think it's the way they can suddenly jump right at you. *shudder*

Hey, congrats to the boy on getting his braces off! Evan is getting impatient -- probably be January for him.

I'm usually really good about drinking my tea - I hate when it gets bitter. BUT THIS WEEK, ALL RULES ARE OUT THE WINDOW.

Grasshoppers. It's that unpredictable movement that freaks me out. Crickets are in there, too. Gleh.

I WANT THIS TO HAPPEN EXCEPT YOU WILL DRINK MY PISS.

Look, I need to feel superior to you, okay? DO YOU WANT THE JOB Y/Y?

I cannot lie--one great upside of an office job is that it gets me out of the same building as the FUCKING LAUNDRY. And who knew tea drinkers were such a forgetful bunch? Because I never remember my damn tea either (probably because what I really want is my coffee).

*runs off to send you dozens of personal messages because clearly you don't have enough shit to do*

If I didn't hate working with people in an office setting so much I WOULD TOTALLY GO BACK TO WORK FOR THAT VERY REASON.

Also, there's a part of me that misses dressing up for the day. Then I have to drive in traffic and I remember how much I prefer being a slob with cold tea at home. :D

HI HI HI! I'm sorry I've been lax in replying - things have been a little crazy. *leans on your shoulder*
