Praise to Jeebus. Yes, I have seen it. I made my husband go with me. Best part of the movie was me leaving the theater. (A guy behind me said, "Thank god this thing is over," and I started laughing and almost high fived him until I saw the look on his lady's face.)

Recap of that and Glee coming soon, so keep your eyes peeled on HDJM. (Secret filter buds? There's a good update coming for y'all, too.) <3

To the writing machine!

Edited to add! Last week's Glee recap is HERE. (I have some questions for the general public about being "special" and the significance of Blaine being a "Teen Angel" over there.) Yesterday's will be up this evening.

AND TWILIGHT'S RECAP IS HERE. Spoiler Alert! I lol'd a lot. And gnashed my teeth a lot. Team It's Over!

I'd say you have an AMAZING husband, if he went with you.

Looking forward to Glee and so glad to read a message from you.

"Thank god this thing is over" That guy is not getting laid tonight and since he sat through the damn movie that is just not fair.

The Boston Globe reviewer had an experience similar to that guy you overheard -- the reviewer published a very funny, scathing review today, and told the story that when it was over he turned to his friend (female) and found that she was crying about how it was all over... The woman was all broken up about it. He was completely nonplussed.

Did you and I miss some gene on the X chromosome or something? Admittedly I haven't seen the movies but just the synopses make my eyes roll so hard they're about to fall out.

Count me in on that missing gene on the X chromosome. I never got it. I read the first book, and that was it for me.

I just DO NOT understand it, Anne. I know you know, but I'm continually surprised by the reaction this dreck receives. The fawning and adulation... I was embarrassed for the audience I saw this with. (But then, I'm embarrassed at each movie.) Hahaha.

Now that takes love... I'll see if I'll be able to go see it. Me and my best friend have seen ALL Twilight movies in theaters... and then gone out drinking and discussing how much they suck... Now though I have a lil one, so we'll see if I can do so. :-P

Love of hating something to the bitter end, that's me! Just like my parents.... (Hahaha)

Oh, I hope you can get a sitter and make that night of revelry happen!

Indeed. :-) I hope I can get hubby [livejournal.com profile] peting73 to take care of her alone for a night... I'll cross my fingers for it at least. :-)

I'm on my phone and it won't let me comment on HDJM but I will never listen to Urban Outfitters the same way again. Bless your sacrifice.

I will be so glad never to see another Twilight ad on TV ever again. And of course they will show more for the DVD release, but an end is in sight.

Why can't someone make a movie about consensual adult relationships? OR IS THAT JUST TOO SCARY???

My best friend dragged me to see the 2nd twilight movie with her. My reaction at the end has somehow resulted in her never even trying to take me to another one...

HAHAHAHAHA!

Well, um, there never will be another one? So you're both winners! :D

I hate the Twilight Series too, BUT...

... when the soundtrack for Eclipse came out, it had two songs by two of my favourite artists at the time(Florence and the Machine and Bat for Lashes), and I thought they were SO good. But I didn't want to buy Twilight anything, so I looked to iTunes hoping to just buy those two songs. Nope, had to buy the whole album. I hemmed and hawed for a long time, but eventually gave in. Oh, the shame!:P

Then Breaking Dawn Part 1 came out a year later, and I didn't have the excuse of a favourite artist being on the track, but I bought it anyway! SHAME. But now the shame is mixed with nostalgia because shortly after that purchase I was in the Rockies learning about puppets and got hit upside the head with a MEGA crush on one of my teammates. So the syrupy sweet love songs suited my mushy mood.

And now? I just listened to the Part 2 soundtrack sampling- and I'm going to buy it.*slinks away- in SHAME of course*

I try to comfort myself by telling myself these two things: I listen to the soundtracks before I see the movie(and if I see the movie it's only online and for free), so I'm buying it just for the music, right? Right. And I figure that although Smeyers is getting some of my money, the artists are too- and I'm all for supporting artists.

Oh, see, the soundtracks are totally independent, so don't beat yourself up for liking the music used! That's something decided by a team hired from the movie's production staff, not Smeyers. She does have some decent music taste (I'm a huge Muse fan) but eh - soundtracks aren't the same thing as loving the movies and books. :)
