Happy Wednesday.
Jan. 9th, 2013 12:35 pmIs it? It's raining outside, I have sneezed myself hoarse (I didn't know such a thing was possible) but I have delicious hot tea and there might be fries in my future, who knows. Life, she is crazy. (You know how when you're sick and the only thing you want is like, garlic and melted cheese and lots of salt because you'll be able to taste that? And then put all of that in bacon and then shove it in my mouth. Please and thank you.)
I woke up this morning and had a story idea and now am looking at 4000+ words of a - wait for it - body swap fic. I don't know who I am anymore, guys, I really don't. But words have been really hard for me for some time, now, so I'm running with it, even if it only serves in the end to make me laugh.
My business meeting yesterday (which included tater tots, and I am a huge fan of those so score one for Laura) went very well, I specced out 15 3 -5 minute shorts that we're going to slap up on a website to build our audience, started creating a character for a side project my writing buddy's doing, and was filled with virtue at my responsibility and organization. Then I went to bed early. Yay?
OH. If you want to write screenplays, storyboards, plays, and want AMAZING software that enables you to collaborate online like GDocs does, got to Celtx.com. It's awesome. AND FREE. (There's a paid-for version that has a few more bells and whistles, but none I need right now.) I keep meaning to mention this, so there you go.
I am excited about upcoming projects, and feeling excited is something I've not had the pleasure of for some time, so I am quite joyous about that. I am NOT joyous about Sally Derg and her Amazing Farts of Wonder, and need to remind the girls to not give her so many of her treats for obvious reasons. Bleh. Dogs, while lovely, can be really gross. Especially in the back-half region.
okay, POV switch time, then onto writing Peter Hale screwing around with Stiles-as-Derek. WHEE!

Date: 2013-01-09 06:42 pm (UTC)I also may be ODing here on tea with honey and fresh-squeezed meyer lemon juice. If I die, all of my fic goes to you. Alas, I AM NOT WRITING ANY.

Date: 2013-01-09 06:58 pm (UTC)Tea with honey, YES. I shall stand on the edge of your journal, a hanky at my tear-strewn cheeks as I eulogize you for being the best writer and friend a girl could ask for...
YOU ARE NOT DYING, THOUGH. Not on my watch, missy. <3

Date: 2013-01-09 06:46 pm (UTC)I hope you feel better soon. When I'm feeling sick I crave korean kimchee stew. Because it blows the sinuses AWAY. I HIGHLY recommend it!

Date: 2013-01-09 06:59 pm (UTC)I LOVE THAT YOU LOVE KIMCHEE STEW. I am eyeing some Thai soup fixings in my pantry right now, needing hot and spicy to open my sinuses all wide, too. <3 <3 <3

Date: 2013-01-09 11:33 pm (UTC)I have a reading date with your fic and a HUGE pot of tea tomorrow morning. I actually made happy seal clappy hands when I saw you'd posted it.
Also, have you tried cider vinegar and manuka honey in hot water? It's a bit of an acquired taste but awesome for clearing out the yuck.

Date: 2013-01-09 11:18 pm (UTC)I am at the I wonder if this will make me feel better level of cedar fever and it is making me very, very cranky because nothing works and all the food groups have been represented: bacon, cheese, chocolate, bread, kim chi, and random purse candy. I hate cedar season and why is the rain not making it go away??
Peter Hale screwing around with Stiles-as-Derek This might just be my gateway fic.

Date: 2013-01-10 12:51 am (UTC)I didn't get the message, so thank you for commenting here! As far as translating Where There's Smoke into Italian is concerned, sure! I only ask that you add a link to the original work at the beginning and then link me so I can get excited about it! :D
Thanks so much!

Date: 2013-01-10 01:11 pm (UTC)Our cat Pyewacket may have eaten too many treats yesterday. I was in the kitchen and heard cries of disgust and horror coming from the humans in family room. I made haste to be busy with something elsewhere for a few minutes...

Date: 2013-01-11 04:48 pm (UTC)Very wise of you, Anne-girl, to make haste and leave it to another. That is the one dreadful responsibility as a mother/pet owner: cleaning up....that.

Date: 2013-01-10 01:32 pm (UTC)I'm totally looking forward to this gardening show! I'm sitting on the edge of my seat until it comes out. It's going to be awesome.
And I wish you well! But hey if it was going to rain, it better be on a sick day, right? That's how I love it. If it's sunny when I'm sick it pisses me off so much!
