Every time you share, reblog, or like a link there, an angel gets its wings. BBQ and spicy wings! Boneless, even! Mmm, it's almost lunch time and I'm hungry.

I was introduced to a new wine this weekend and it was GLORIOUS.



Bold & spicy. I let it sit opened for an hour before drinking, and it was perfect with the rich beef stew I'd made for our dinner.

There's a fantastic winery that opened in our town square and every red wine was in my wheelhouse. I got to talking to the owner and have a new BFF. Hahaha. He joined up with a butcher shop in town (they only buy organic, grass fed meat - process all the meat there on site, holy smokes, I was in HEAVEN) for something called a "Cab -n- Slab." It's a wine/steak of the month club where the wines are premium and the cuts of meat divine. Yeah, I'm signing up. (Last month was a bottle of Caymus and 2 20oz Porterhouse steaks. I MEAN. COME ON.)

He warned me that this particular wine I mentioned is selling like hotcakes, so buy now. I plan on going back this week and picking up maybe a half case, because it was THAT GOOD.

I don't even drink wine or eat much red meat but that "Cab -n- Slab." club intrigues me! The mister would be grateful if I joined something similar here in town. We've got several new butchers specializing high quality locally raised meats *makes note to look into it*

Isn't that a great idea? I like to eat red meat on occasion - not every week, so once a month for a steak sounds perfect to me.

Oooh, Laborum! I've had their Syrah, but not the Cab -- I will have to look for that. *makes note*

That steak/wine combo sounds amazing. I *just* got a bottle of the Caymus 2011 and have stashed it in the root cellar to mellow for a while... which reminded me that I have a few other fun bottles down there that I need to bring up now that the weather's cool enough for stew, pot roast, etc. This weekend: an inexpensive but tasty Bonarda with Catalan-style beef stew with mushrooms, plus fingerling potatoes and roasted carrots from the garden. Om nom nom.

In conclusion, FOOD + WINE = YAY.

Oh my gosh, it is SCRUMPTIOUS.

Caymus is so delish - it seems like we have a similar palate. And ha, I made a French-style beef stew (Spanish is something I'll have to try next time!) to go with this bottle, even though it's an Argentinian wine. [insert obligatory Don't Cry For Me joke here]

It doesn't hurt that the CUTEST GUY EVER works the counter at this butcher's shop, either. NOT IN THE LEAST.
