After an incredibly busy weekend (out of town guest, hosted a party, yadda yadda) I am ready to curl up in a ball and sleep. But instead I need to get cleaned up and go to some important meetings.

LIKE MY SON'S FINAL ARD FOREVER. No more IEP meetings, no more paperwork for public school, no more freaking ARD MEETINGS after today, WHOO HOO!! (Those of you with SpEd kids/kids with IEPs can appreciate my joy, I'm sure.) Then another meeting that should be quick and painless, and then BACK HOME WHERE I WILL SIT AND DO NOTHING.

It's all tremendously exciting. I have tv to catch up on! I did manage to watch The Walking Dead (of course) and get my recap up - I LOVED IT, FAIR WARNING.

mr. muse is out of the house today, so Luna has decided that she needs to be as close to me as possible to make up for her preferred minion being gone. So I have tea and kitten! Sadly, I am also still coughing. But it's cozy, at least. <3

Whoot whoot! on the ARD. I know my ESE and IEP students love the final review meeting. And I commend you on being there with him. Most of mine are just me, the support facilitators and the student. We don't often get a parent in there with us. You rock.

I mean most of my IEP meetings do not have parents - the annual reviews, or the final exit. Most of the time, the parents aren't there. I mean, I do have parents show up, occasionally. I teach juniors, though, and most of ESE students are very close to 18 or are 18 because they've been held back at some point in their lives, but nope. I don't get to meet most of my ESE students' parents.

AND enjoy a glass for me, too!

Man, it's a HUGE relief. (Even though this means he's officially a high school graduate and...now what. O_O Ha, we have a plan, it's just happening a LOT faster than I thought.)

Good luck with the meeting! I'm on the other end of that journey - my little one's very *first* IEP meeting is scheduled for January, a month before she ages out of Early Intervention. Yay?

I had a bunch of guests this weekend, as well, and feel like death warmed over. Here's to both of us getting a decent night's sleep tonight!

Good luck with YOURS! Don't let it stress you out - they become very chummy, these meetings, and you get to know some of the administrators very well. The ones with SpEd are AMAZING, and the difference between them and regular school admin is... well. *side eyes*

Are you worried about it? Or is it just another tick on the list of things you have to do?

I HOPE YOU SLEPT WELL. I did as well as could be expected. What I NEED is to rent a hotel room and crash for 36 hours. Let's see if that happens. ;D
