1. I had chicken tenders from Raising Cane's today because I wanted the dipping sauce. I don't DO things like Ranch or ketchup, but this stuff, man. It clearly has an addictive substance in it that makes you crave it fortnightly.
2. If you said that last bit in a ridiculous Scottish accent, I like you a lot.
3. My butthead black kitty has been my friend lately, trying to sit in my lap, head butting me for pets... I'm fairly certain he's trying to lure me into a sense of false security so he can kill and eat me.
4. I have been drinking many delicious wines and eating many delicious cheeses as of late.
5. I finally began posting that big TW fic that is really good, I promise, and it's going over like a lead balloon because I guess I have no idea what most people enjoy reading.
6. But the handful of people who are liking it REALLY like it, so that makes me feel infinitely better.
7. There was not a single cloud in the sky this morning on my jog, and it's going to be in the 70s all weekend and I have wee baby plants sproinging up in the flower beds and this makes me happy.
8. I forgot what 8 was for.
9. I wish there was a new Fallout/Elder Scrolls game out because they are my favorite.
10. I really need to take a trip AWAY FROM ALL OF MY FAMILY. Just somewhere I can wander, eat good foods, maybe a museum or nine. You know, anywhere.

Butthead may be plotting with being all cuddly and adorable, but perhaps your pores are oozing Raising Cane's dipping sauce aroma and he just needs to be up in that cloud of nirvana.

I have been drinking many delicious beers and eating many delicious cheeses and pretty much anything delicious that is put in front of my face and it is interfering mightily with the dieting for two weddings I am going to be part of in the next month. It's a good thing I don't have to fit into a wedding dress.

It is gorgeous outside but our street is being torn up and then refilled from 7 AM to dark o'clock seven days a week. The house shaking and unrelenting noise are driving me to drink which needs the accompaniment of snacks and it is a vicious cycle which will keep have me wearing a matronly mumu to above weddings. The Girl Scout cookies aren't helping either. I have no will power!

I am going to miss Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski on my television screen. I want to be them both for Hallowe'en. Fortunately, I'll be big enough by then to carry off the costume. Fat glass half full. Cheers!

Oooh, any new beers lately? The Mr. has been branching out with some great microbrews. There's one north of me, Franconia, that's fantastic. Well, every 10th batch is odd, but you have to expect that with small amounts being made.

PUT PLEATS IN THE DRESS AND PASS THE FONTINA.

OMG, the real struggle of living near that sort of construction. It's positively grating, that steady background racket. MY SYMPATHIES.

I am drinking the holy heck out of two local German style pilsners: Austin Beerworks Pearl Snap and Real Ale's Hans Pils on draft and in cans. I'm also loving Uinta's Baba black lager. Yes, it does have a sheep on the can.

The Olympics have turned my living room into a sports bar.

Yes, Real Ale! Super nice. Uinta? That's a Utah brewery! They're out in the flat land near the Great Salt Lake. I can't remember if they're the ones who made Polygamy Porter or not, but that's really freaking good if you can find it.

11. What's up, buttercup?

I regret that I didn't get video evidence of something that happened overnight...

The kitten just looooves to drink water out of my glasses, so I thought I would outwit him last night by using a cup with a lid and a straw.

I went to sleep and the water-filled cup was sitting next to me. I awoke and the nearly empty cup was on the floor, on its side, with the lid still attached and the straw removed and placed a few feet from the cup. The straw has chew marks. There is no water on the floor.

I can only conclude that the kitten knows how to use a straw and will likely begin demanding that we add straws to his water bowl. I mean, what else can it be? (I'm also working to break his habit of jumping on my kitchen counters, however, I figure that a kitten that can drink out of a straw can also make me some toast while he's on the counter. If so, I may have to re-consider my no-cats-on-the-counter stance.)

In other news, I also regret that I'm not taking a nap right now.

#5 I am definitely going to read your TW fic (I have read very little TW fic but it's AoGG so I must). I know it's not a WIP but I prefer reading fic in one- or two-sittings so I'm waiting til the whole thing is posted.

10. My mum basically did that this week. E's in Berlin for work and said I/my parents could use the flat whenever, so she went down to London for a couple of days. Seems to have had a whale of a time, entirely on her own!

I really enjoyed Trust Fall and I've only read the first few pages of the AoGG fic and didn't get past Stiles' name before I knew I would love this one too.
