I'm sure she is staggering to a cafe with an internet hub, drunk, hungover, exhausted. maybe a little SORE when she sits down? [livejournal.com profile] dovil? Did you have THAT kind of fun?

There was fic, snark, laughter, and a icon. In addition, I made a CD for you (If you haven't gotten your B-Day package yet, it should get there soon). I call it: What the Hell Dovil Did on her Birthday, Set to Music:

1. Scissor Sisters - Filthy Gorgeous There she is, getting all gussied up for a night out at the gay bar. Bet after she put her lipstick on, she kissed her reflection in the mirror.
2. The Waitresses - I Know What Boys Like This is her dancing in the bathroom in her bra while her gay flatmates snicker, occassionally tossing out a "You go, girl! Mmm Hmm!"
3. James Brown - Super Bad Taking public transit to the gay bars is the SAFE way to travel. Let's boys know ahead of time that you'll need a ride home. If you catch my drift.

4. 'N Sync - Up Against the Wall Finds a cute boy, and does her "I'm willing and able" dance, forcing him, you guessed it. She is on her third drink at this point. It is spilling over the front of her shirt, but she's FIERCE on the dance floor!
5. Dueling Banjos NO!! Dovil!! That's your brother! Retreat! Retreat! Have a cup of coffee!
6. Scissor Sisters - Comfortably Numb It's okay. LOTS of folks grind their asses into their brothers on the dance floor by mistake. It's okay. Shhh. Just a little pinprick....

7. Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out Your flat mates are scratching their heads. Honey, you ARE out. Why is that needle hanging out of your arm? Why are you stomping to the dance floor and yelling something about a "dance off?"
8. Bjork - There's More to Life Than This Praying to the porcelain gods right about now. These stalls really are roomy, though.
9. Reverend Horton Heat - 400 Bucks What's a night out without a drunken scream-fest?

10. Sly and the Family Stone - Thank You Fa Lettinme Be Mice Elf The musical equivalent of "I love you guys"
11. B-52s - Strobe Light Well, now, who is THIS handsome stranger? (Honey, your tit is hanging out of your dress.)
12. Keane - Everybody's Changing Nice mellow song for passing out at the cab stand. "Trying to stay awake and remember my name"

13. Ray Charles - I'm Busted You really shouldn't have taken a hit off that water bong that undercover cop offered you. I thought you had an "in" with those guys? Only the angry gay ones? Pity.
14. Lavern Baker - Saved Time to clean up your act, sister! My god! How old are you? Little Southern Baptist rock out to get straight to. Hee!
15. Sister Hazel - It's All For You Because you do so much for us! Laughter is the BEST medicine, and at the current rate, you should be a billionaire!

HOLY CRAP! I MEAN HOLY CRAPPOLA OF CAPNESS!

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And other annoying words in caps with lots of !'s. WOW, wow, can you tell that I'm a little over come. Swooning any second. This is just absolutely amazing. I mean, totally amazing. Nicest thing ever since someone decided to let me give them atrocious stretch marks and then have them not be able to cough ever again in public. This is like the LJ of getting a house for my birthday, a big one, with a pool!

Thank you so very, very, very much.

And I'm laughing quietly at my songs, because some of that is oh so very true and I'm trying not to jog my throbbing head too much. Except for the dueling banjos, because everyone knows that cousins are so much better. I'm going to hell now.

See, I was all New York, San Fran, New York, San Fran, but now I have to come to San Fran so I can side track and buy you all drinks and say thank you in person. And sleep on your couches and eat all your food. Yay! Thank you! :D

If my stupid package had arrived on time, you would have had some miracle drugs to keep that head from hurting. Poop. This is on a CD in that package, so don't worry about downloading.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Me drink many vats of fine beer. Me very sick! YAY! You send me gifts AND you do all this and I have I mentioned how kick arse the icon is, because it is very much of the kick arse. I will now send you an internal organ of your choice with a popsicle in order to keep it cool on its long journey over.

MWAH! MWAH! MWAH!

Internal organs of my choice, eh? Naturally I will NOT select your liver. Toss in a pancreas (with a blue popsicle for freshness and snark factor) and we'll call it done. Hee!

Mind if I make a copy too? We've been enjoying your last one so much. Nathan's decided that "Down with Disease" by Phish is his new favorite song. We play it on repeat a lot.

He goes to a weekly music class that gave us a double CD that we're supposed to play at home; it has children singing the usual sort of children-type music. He refuses to listen to it. I can't really blame him, I find it kind of insipid myself. I think he enjoys the class, though -- they combine the music with games and it teaches them *about* music in preparation for learning an instrument.

Out of the clear blue sky the other night just before bed he asked me if he could take piano lessons. We've never talked about this so I don't know where he got the idea from -- maybe his friend Sophie because her sister takes piano and they have a piano in their house (he loves to bang away on it). I just don't know if he has the stick-to-it quality that he'd need to do the practice.

You silly. that's why I posted the links - for my friends to download and copy! I sent a CD to Dovil already.

My bet is the song Saved! will be one of his new favorites. It's one of those small, black Baptist church "get up out of your seat and rePENT, sinner!" kind of songs. Oh, and it's funny, too.

(But fast-forward past 400 bucks with kids in the room: angry, loud song with cussing.)

As far as I know, no one has downloaded any of the songs, so all the links should be good.
