but couldn't because of family health issues?
Turns out Instagram is a GREAT way for me to get back to that: answering questions from regular people and helping folks save money, water and energy by learning what to do (and what not to do).
IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO ANSWER ANY OF YOUR QUESTIONS ABOUT THE LANDSCAPE, FOLLOW THIS LINK, double tap (if you're on your phone) and leave me a question in the comment section. Questions can range from pest management, trees, lawn, flowers, veggies, perennials, and "What's that bug?"
Gardening makes me so happy, but helping other people be happy in the garden is EVEN BETTER. <3
(Feel free to spread this to any and all, btw! And follow me on IG for more gardening tips, tricks, etc.)

Date: 2016-09-01 10:24 pm (UTC)I know next year I need to 1) rip up my beds I have now (in front, full of rubble from hardscape stuff), 2) do soil amendment in back beds.
I'm also doing a dance of "wait until we put new fence in?" while sort of hoping we have JUST enough of a storm to knock fence down so we can replace it via insurance. :D (but it needs to be replaced. It's about having the $$).
BUT. This year, I had great success with mandevillas. I want to put them EVERYWHERE. And do some raised beds for my veg rather than container.
On top of all this, I need to be realistic. (and this is why I'm posting HERE.) With the lupus/mixed connective tissue disease OFFICIAL diagnosis this year, and applying for disability on realizing "yes, woman, you have problems", I'm trying to figure out a garden that will give me what I want, but be manageable. That can be neglected for a day or two even in mid summer because there are days going down 4 steps HURTS. Ya know?
ALL THE LOVE AND SUCCESS.

Date: 2016-10-07 09:29 pm (UTC)If you were up to it, and were amenable, I'd love to have coffee or just talk or have a donut. Whatever. I wish I had tried harder to connect IRL with so many people and now it's too late.
I'd like to maybe fix that a little. :-)
