I'm being pulled in like, fifty directions at once. I'm late posting fic, I'm behind on commenting at a_list_celebs (which is back open for business, by the way, yay!), and there are at least three fics in the Gud Summries ficathon I haven't read yet, which makes me a shitty hostess. Argh! (So you know, more fics have come in, and I've managed to catch one of them: lostakasha's very naughty and hilarious felching/suicide fic. AHAHAHA! So up my alley with the inappropriate humor. But there were more gems! pluckyantihero's maniacle penguin fic with the incredibly sly Monty Python reference! Roller rink Buffy/Angel from crazydiamondsue! And many, many more. And I have a bathroom to finish painting. (Mr. S thought this would be a great day to start opening paint cans and then leave.) Emails to answer. Children to feed. A mother to avoid (oh god.) Fic to write. Games to play. A kitchen to clean. A garden... FUCK. I'd like four extra hours plus a nap, please.

If I haven't replied to an email or comment, it's not because of anything other than my insane list of things/responsibilities keeping me from you. ACK! And I was nominated for two of my fics, and I can't TELL YOU how much I appreciate it! My Andrew in Scotland fic (oh, that makes me so happy - thank you, thank you) and my biblical Connor fic, Blood Will Out at the Serenity on the Hellmouth awards. THANK YOU. (My Connor fics are my faves, and also get the least amount of feedback, so it just made my day. Muchas gracias, anonymous!)

I've written a bunch of Connor fic, if you're interested. I went back and re-read that piece, and the beginning's a bit wonky to me - could probably use some re-working to not be so gimmicky, but it picks up. There's a tag on that fic that takes you to the others, if you are ever interested.

And man, some of the fics coming in on this ficathon are more than I'd hoped for. FUN!

Now the real question is, did anyone get into the naan while I was painting the bathroom? *puts rice in steamer*

Mmm. Have a good dinner. I don't know if I'll ever cook rice again. It's just too hard to do at this altitude. Pasta takes forever, but it's not as tricky as rice.

Yeah, from what I've read a pressure cooker is the way to go. I think I'll get one eventually. For now I muddle along with extra water and longer times and stuff. I've got a couple good cookbooks since the move with some good tips in them. But it's definitely a change from being at sea level.

Congratulations on your nominations!!!! Yay!!! I'm adding the Connor fic to my "to read" list - I heart Connor.

And I've been reading lots of the ficathon stories and they're so funny and awesome. And I still have more to look forward to! Thanks for hosting such a fun event!

Dude, SERIOUSLY. She is never without her lips parted. Okay, I get that the plump mouth edges are the only fleshy thing ON her, but she NEVER closes her mouth! SHe has to be a mouth breather.

(And I'm a Norrington girl, so if you've ever listened to the DVD commentary with her and JackDav? She NEVER shuts her yap. "Oh, look! Here's me! Aren't I pretty?" Glah.)

There were some GREAT stories that came out of this ficathon, huh? I'm so glad everyone had fun with it! Yayness! Also: exclamation point!! (I seem to be using a bunch here...)

Wish I could FedEx you some extra time! Come to think of it, I could use some of that myself. Just told Ron on the phone that there's no food in the house and I just can't face going out on yet another errand, so I think it'll be take-out for dinner.

Although I'm terribly excited about Pirates, I think it'll be next weekend before we see it. Got to make plans with our sitter!

Oh, ACK. I was browsing back over your entries (because it's more fun to look at people's writings after you have a mental picture of them from meeting them!) And just a few days after this post I titled a Connor fic ::utter headdesk:: "Blood Will Out." I know I'd seen this entry before but the title just didn't pop up in my head as something I'd read recently on LJ. Sheesh. I'm sorry. I will come up with another title.
