#1, Happy birthday to lostakasha! You are a sweetheart, have a FANTASTIC sense of humor, and I wish I had spent more time chatting with you at WC. I hope you're having a great day.
#2, I do NOT want to talk about the Cowboys. If I see anyone bashing my team, I'm ignoring you. That friggin' HURT to watch. Parcells will be gone by the 6 o'clock sports wrap-up tonight, you watch and see. GAH.
#3, say someone (oh, not me, I'm an angel) wanted to turn a mess of .avi files into DVDs to watch on a proper DVD player. What program is the best for that, and where can it be dl'd on the down low? UH, THIS IS FOR A RESEARCH PAPER. Riiiiiiight.
#4, seriously? No Metalocalypse fandoms out there yet? Seriously?!? Oh, wait, sausagefestival! Haha. Um... the fanfic isn't that good, though, bah. Oooh! There's an RP for adult swim called omg_adultswim!

Can I just say, though, that the safety was easily the worst piece of ball-handling I've ever seen? On the part of both teams? And that it was, in general, a not-pretty game from the first down?

And Parcells looked as if he was doped to the gills with Xanax during the whole game.

(I have to be on the other side: not only do I live here but Jeramy Stevens is the only famous person from Miss Perfect's high school).

For #3, I have had really good luck with Nero, but it's also a program that I paid for. Still, I recommend it.

And sorry about the Cowboys; that's an incredibly painful way to lose.

Feh, this season after about November, has been painful to watch. Parcells just let the defense phone it in the last few games. BAH.

Nero - I'll check it out!! (I don't mind paying for a good program. I just didn't know if it was so common that it was everywhere and I just didn't know about them.) Thanks!

#3 - The program ConvertXtoDVD by VSO does the job beautifully. And it's under 7 megs (!!) I'd be happy to tell you more about it, if you're on AIM or MSN :)

I saw you were having trouble with YSI - did this file come through OK?

One suggestion using the program: Don't put in a writeable DVD when you start the conversion. Otherwise, it'll finish converting and start burning, even if there are errors in conversion (due to quality of source, usually), and you could waste a blank DVD. Without a blank in there, it'll convert and then stop and ask for one. At which time you can make sure there were no errors.
