In regards to the latest wank about the man "married" to a horse and "dating" a human... I can't believe no one made the joke, "gives a whole new meaning to the term 'animal husbandry.'" Ba dum bum ching. And seriously - I've not been able to stop making punchlines all night.
* What did Darkhorseman say to the slaughter house? Take my wife, please.
* When Darkhorseman and his Mare got married, what hotel room did they stay in? The Bridle Suite.
* What did sweet nothings did Darkhorseman say to his Mare the first night he tried coupling with her? "Roses are red, violets are blue. Horses that don't bone me get made into glue."
* Darkhorseman had been feeling a little ill before going into the stable to see his "wife." His girlfriend hollered at him through the barn door, "How you doing in there?" He replied, "I'm feeling a little horse."
Whah whah.
If anything, it gives the New Zealanders some breathing room about them and their sheep. [/rimshot] (for the record, I don't believe some of the stories coming out - stallions will NOT allow you to touch them when a mare is in heat. You'll be killed, truly.) <-- WHY IS THIS BEING DISCUSSED, ACK! ACK!
I'm just about done with my favorite gift from the holidays, Amy Sedaris' self-help/how to entertain while drunk book "I Like You." What's great is that she's serious, mostly. I think I've got my Amy-impression down pat, too. Wheee! *sticks googly eyes on you all* I'm not even going to mention that I applied for a new crack RP game last night. I'm not going to talk about that. *cough*
I think I should go back to bed...

(Also, am FINALLY able to read the book you got me, and I'm enjoying it immensely!) Winter term starts TOMORROW for the kids, and I'm very excited about that. I get my hosue to myself again!!!!!
How's it back in school? Nice to be in your own space again?

Date: 2007-01-08 04:01 pm (UTC)Oh, poor dear. I'm glad it's nothing more serious - you haven't been quite yourself lately and I was starting to wonder. Just, like. ...why you'd want to talk to a squitty nineteen-year-old as opposed to an Actual Grownup I dunno, but if you ever DID &c &c &c. The Boy! Say hi to him for me, I hope the bracework is going okay. Glad you like the book. My GOD, they aren't back at school yet? Seriously? When did they break up? I mean. Is it a private school and that's why, or..? We only got 2 weeks off at their age. Now I have terms of obscene shortness, but.
Yes! Although actually I was much better at living at home this time than previously. Second year's so different from first year, though - feel much more settled in college, and we've swapped a horrible third year (booze/no work culture, arsey, old!Oriel culture of louts and women who want to marry them and STUPID ORIEL SLANG) for a sweet, if intimidatingly beautiful/clever/hard-working first year. And I am much better at being Less Scared of the Popular Girls, who are actually just as comfortingly messed-up as everyone else when you get close.
if the Alist lot ever did a crack RP again, it ought to be fictional characters [/random]

Date: 2007-01-08 04:09 pm (UTC)Oh, I'm glad this year seems more comfortable to you. I remember feeling the same in school, myself. Freshman year is ALWAYS intimidating, then you get the hang of the school life, work, who you are, and it becomes much more fun. Plus, you have a fun gang of friends and the theater, so that's wonderful you have your own life there.
And they didn't leave for break until the 21rst of Dec., so TECHNICALLY they've only had two weeks and two days, but it feels like a LIFETIME. Tomorrow morning will be WONDERFUL. :D
*hearts you a'plenty*
