• today is Sally Von Schtupp's 3rd birthday! Awww. (she's getting a "cake" made out of chicken and rice - shaped like a dogbone, heee!)
• Music like this song (Last Night, a cover by UPenn's a capella group - no really! They're awesome.)
• and this one (Two Step by Dave Matthews Band - one of my all time favorite songs EVER on the EARTH because of the freaking amazing double toms [/drum nerd])
• and this (You Know My Name by Chris Cornell, because 1) he has one of the best voices in rock and 2) it makes me think of James Bond in his sexy tight baby blue swim trunks and OH MMY GOODNESS, that's a good thing to think about.)
• upcoming visitors like entrenous88 this weekend and southernbangel next weekend!!

• my scale
• long walks that almost wear me out (it's the "almost" that makes me happy)
• this new "diet" we've got the boy on - oh, the CHANGE! It's fantastic, and he's happy = mom's happy

• going to San Fransisco in July to meet up with germaine_pet and others to see James Marsters declare he's gay and love a RENT BOY in a play!!

You know, choosing between Ewan McGregor and Jack Davenport as protagonists doesn't make me as happy as you might suppose. Because, you know, there's *choosing* involved. But Ewan is my celebrity boyfriend (it does so count even if we've never met and we're both married to other people), so I had to go with him. Though further thought had me thinking perhaps I should've picked him as an antagonist...he's yummy when he's nasty. See: dilemmas, dilemmas.

But the picture saved the day 'cause damn that's funny. And thinking of Chris Cornell's voice, 'cause damn it's fantastic.

I probably should have said POV instead of protagonist... And I LOOOOOOOVE Ewan mcGregor. Some of my best (imo) fics have been about him. I fully support an Ewan/Jack fic, as I don't know that I've ever come across that particular pairing!

I AM SO HAPPY TOO!!! It was very weird going into work today all excited about the play, and not being able to share my excitement with anyone there because they just would. not. get it. Fandom squee makes me happy.

I am being unpredictable and casting my vote for JM/Gale Harold, because I keep longing for Spike/Brian Kinney fic, and no one is writing it. So I will ask for the next best thing!

I just have NO INTEREST in writing SPN. It's not because I look down on it, or anything like that, it's just... established. (And Jensen went to my rival high school, so I can't see him in that way, because I remember his natural voice, heh.)

I cannot tell you how fun that sounds. I'm honestly not much of a Marsters fan (Spike, yes), but THAT. Would just be amazing. Can Vinnie be the rent boy?

I'm happy because my Charlie Brown maple tree has leaves!! (It lives in a tub on my deck, and it was the Saddest Little Tree at the nursery last spring, which meant I could afford it. :-))

I'm not a Marsters fan either (that... yeah. I'm not.) but how much fun would seeing him in a play - COMING OUT, no less - be? Especially with a group of awesome girls? SO. EXCITED.

The weather is GORGEOUS. Friday was sketchy, but it's been beautiful ever since!

Things making me happy today:

I saw "Mamma Mia" yesterday and I can't stop singing ABBA songs. Which is awesome because I love ABBA about as much as I love Air Supply. I may have a new crush on the actor who played Sam Carmichael. When he wore the spandex suit at the end? HEL-LO.

I am no longer bleeding like a stuck pig. My hoo-ha is no longer on notice.

It is absolutely *gorgeous* outside---blue skies with not a cloud in sight. I want to be outside. *plots*

Did I mention ten days? Okay, good.

My mom's birthday is this Thursday so I'm going to see them this weekend. Yay, parent time! AND she signed us up for a cooking class on Friday night so that should be funfunfun! For real.

what does your wee water fountain look like? I adore fountains, love to watch the water drizze down.

can I ask you a gardening question? I know zilch about gardening so the plants in the planters box on the side of my house have died. I've lived here 3 years now so I guess thats pretty good. Can you recommend a plant(s) that I could put in place of the dead plants that don't need a lot of maintenance besides the regular rain baths they get? because I hardly ever remember to water them :D
