It's the end of the week, whooooo!
Jul. 27th, 2007 09:44 am- Happy birthday to
elfgirl!! I hug and squish you and bring navel gazing music that girls like us loved when we were teens: Joy Division, New Order and Skinny Puppy. - Secondly, does everyone have their Zombie Escape Plan? That may be the coolest journal I've seen. (Please note her Disclaimer at the bottom, haha.)
- Thirdly, this Sunday is the first episode of THE TWO COREYS on A&E, 9pm. Check your local listings. Don't act like you don't want to watch that train wreck.
-
Your momAw, yeah. - laundry
-
groceries - wander around Ikea and make excuses to buy lots of cleverly made stuff
- vacuum/mop (uuuuugggggghhhh)
- finish priming cabinets for paint
- double check the liner for new drapes - hit Joanns if not enough
- POST OFFICE
- NO READING FANFIC until you have done 75% of this, I MEAN IT. *stern face at self*
-
wander around the house trying to remember what to do - check this list
-
figure out how you can cheat out of doing chores so you can read fanfic - hurry and clean up the surfaces when the Mister is on his way home. And I like how that makes my husband sound like "Mister" in The Color Purple. Oh, Miss Ceely, you gots a beautiful smile.

Date: 2007-07-27 06:05 pm (UTC)I've never had well cooked Koala in years. Koala preparation is a lost art. Every Thanksgiving my mom and I gross out over all the Food Network people making Turducken. It's wrong. So wrong. Turkey good. Duck good. Chicken good. Turducken wrong.
*looks at your to do list, looks at her own extensive to do list, shrugs and opens del.icio.us 'to-read' tag*

Date: 2007-07-27 06:28 pm (UTC)Okay, Turducken is freaking delicious, are you kidding me?? We get them from a Cajun shop in town and it's stuffed with Crawfish etoufee. So that is FOUR meats. FOUR. In one bird. Mmmmmmmmmm.
Koala though... the meat is so tender and delicate. I like to wrap it up in bacon and deep fry it. Then dip it in queso. *kisses fingertips*

Date: 2007-07-27 06:37 pm (UTC)I think my Turducken issues come from the whole 'eat with your eyes first' thing. 'Cause visually? It weirds me.

Just like mama used to make.

Well, not like my momma made, because she made Stouffers French Bread Pizza. :D

Date: 2007-07-27 06:48 pm (UTC)You have an Ikea near you? One opened about an hour away from us a couple of years ago to much fanfare and we have yet to visit. But we have plans to buy a couple of bookcases from there very soon. We need them to make room for the piano we are going to be renting by the end of summer for Nathan. Ron had to go out and measure the cars carefully to make sure the bookcase packages would fit! Unfortunately he's the only person who can go, as the packages will take up all the room -- no passengers!

Date: 2007-07-27 06:54 pm (UTC)THere's an Ikea about 15 minutes away and it is MECCA. Or you know... a fun place to wander. :) Plus, you can get the kids lunch for under 2 bucks! And it's GOOD.
And haha to Ron having to be alone with them! That means you don't have to move them twice! :D
