  • Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] elfgirl!! I hug and squish you and bring navel gazing music that girls like us loved when we were teens: Joy Division, New Order and Skinny Puppy.
  • Secondly, does everyone have their Zombie Escape Plan? That may be the coolest journal I've seen. (Please note her Disclaimer at the bottom, haha.)
  • Thirdly, this Sunday is the first episode of THE TWO COREYS on A&E, 9pm. Check your local listings. Don't act like you don't want to watch that train wreck.

  • Your mom Aw, yeah.
  • laundry
  • groceries
  • wander around Ikea and make excuses to buy lots of cleverly made stuff
  • vacuum/mop (uuuuugggggghhhh)
  • finish priming cabinets for paint
  • double check the liner for new drapes - hit Joanns if not enough
  • POST OFFICE
  • NO READING FANFIC until you have done 75% of this, I MEAN IT. *stern face at self*
  • wander around the house trying to remember what to do
  • check this list
  • figure out how you can cheat out of doing chores so you can read fanfic
  • hurry and clean up the surfaces when the Mister is on his way home. And I like how that makes my husband sound like "Mister" in The Color Purple. Oh, Miss Ceely, you gots a beautiful smile.
  • I know dey is a gewd. <-- my sister will laugh at that
  • quit putting inside jokes in your To Do list and GET GOING, jeez.

Anf finally, GIP. That's from Maddox's website, and it makes me laugh every time. I am KIDDING, my vegetarian friends! Or AM I? Bum bum bum!! No, no, I am. I can't stand Koala anymore. I ate loads in college and just got burned out. (Aww, and now I'm missing [livejournal.com profile] a_list_celebs when Will was going to cook a meal consisting solely of almost-extinct animals, stuffed inside each other Tur-Duc-Ken style, and all wrapped in bacon. Because bacon makes everything better. [/random]) GOD. I'm such a procrastinator!!! *gets going*

I have made zombie escape preparations! They double as my hurricane evacuation plan. (http://redbrickrose.livejournal.com/196622.html?thread=1166862#t1166862) Gallows humor FTW?

*admires* And seriously, gallows humor is the best. Me deal with things that frighten me with jokes? Nah.

Oh, have a great time this weekend! Watch yoruself around that Lee - she's not to be trusted. *g* Have one of those margaritas as Sol Y... whatsit for me! They were very good. (Request the Milagro Silver for yours. mmm.)

Oh, thanks! I'm excited. (And I'll be careful *g*) And yeah, I love Sol Y Luna. They have fantastic margaritas. I like the spicy one, I forget what it's called, but that's because I tend to think that everything tastes better with cayenne pepper. (Seriously. Everything. That includes things like chocolate and ice cream.)

WE ARE IN AGREEMENT THERE. I love chocolate with chiles in it, mmmm. I want to make some cinnamon ice cream later this weekend and put some chiles in it, too. I love Mexican hot chocolate, which has chiles and cinnamon = \o/

I love people on our side of the Mississippi. *g* Mmmm, spicy. It can't get hot enough, for me.

vacuuming, mopping and painting? It's no wonder you're procrastinating! *glares at butcher block cabinet that needs to be painted red to go back in kitchen*

Ugh, I know, right? I love painting - once I'm doing it. I have to convince myself to get started, though. GET GOING!! *directed at the both of us*

The only thing better than bacon is chocolate.

I've never had well cooked Koala in years. Koala preparation is a lost art. Every Thanksgiving my mom and I gross out over all the Food Network people making Turducken. It's wrong. So wrong. Turkey good. Duck good. Chicken good. Turducken wrong.

*looks at your to do list, looks at her own extensive to do list, shrugs and opens del.icio.us 'to-read' tag*

Why can't there be a way to combine chocolate and bacon?? Probably because the universe wants us unhappy, is my guess.

Okay, Turducken is freaking delicious, are you kidding me?? We get them from a Cajun shop in town and it's stuffed with Crawfish etoufee. So that is FOUR meats. FOUR. In one bird. Mmmmmmmmmm.

Koala though... the meat is so tender and delicate. I like to wrap it up in bacon and deep fry it. Then dip it in queso. *kisses fingertips*

Do ya think I could work bacon into a molé sauce? Not to be confused with mole sauce, which is tasty, but alas, does not contain chocolate.

I think my Turducken issues come from the whole 'eat with your eyes first' thing. 'Cause visually? It weirds me.

Just like mama used to make.

...I think you could, actually. Like, grill a chicken breast, two slices of bacon, some roasted anaheim or, no, HATCH peppers, and mole sauce. (I'm not doing the accent thingy, but you know what I mean.)

Or turkey, mole and bacon? Um... that could be good, yo. Throw some red chiles in there, too.

Well, not like my momma made, because she made Stouffers French Bread Pizza. :D

A group of us once spent almost a whole day coming up with our Zombie strategy. It involved kayaks and getting to Pennsylvania.

Joy Division and New Order? That's what I'm talking about.

I remember that Will post. Good times, good times... *g*

Ha, your to-do list puts me to shame. I've had this package in my car for *days*, meaning to get to the corner Post Office, and just today finally went there! Jeez.

You have an Ikea near you? One opened about an hour away from us a couple of years ago to much fanfare and we have yet to visit. But we have plans to buy a couple of bookcases from there very soon. We need them to make room for the piano we are going to be renting by the end of summer for Nathan. Ron had to go out and measure the cars carefully to make sure the bookcase packages would fit! Unfortunately he's the only person who can go, as the packages will take up all the room -- no passengers!

(I've had this package for a WEEK needing to be sent off. Sheeeeeesh.)

THere's an Ikea about 15 minutes away and it is MECCA. Or you know... a fun place to wander. :) Plus, you can get the kids lunch for under 2 bucks! And it's GOOD.

And haha to Ron having to be alone with them! That means you don't have to move them twice! :D
