  1. Anyone recognize the subject heading? That was my FAVORITE BOOK to check out in the Sixth Grade - and I have been looking for a copy of that for years that isn't 70 bucks. Geez.

  2. My right-wing Repub. Mormon uncle sent me an email this morning about Why I Should Vote For Mitt Romney. After I stopped laughing, I sent him a bulleted list of Why I Will Effing Not (And why you shouldn't either) Maybe this will get him to stop sending me his propaganda... (like the one about how the Koran's 9:11 verse is all about An Eagle That Will Destroy The Desert. No, it's not. GOD I hate that B.S.

  3. My husband has quit his job and is moving to another company, which means he is taking a 10 day vacation in between, so we are playing this week! \o/

  4. After watching this clip, I kind of want Steve Martin/David Letterman fic. Not explicit, just funny. And kissing. I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT, OKAY? I know it's wrong, but I don't wanna be right.

  5. My sister had a party this weekend, and it was fun to hang with hilarious people. Why did we move to the suburbs and away from all the coolness? Oh, right. Damn kids.

  6. I've decided to do NaNoWriMo this year to finish up my Mormon Memoir. See #2 for why I think I'll be able to finish. :D

  7. I can't stop singing that flipping Indian Music Video's "lyrics:" Minor bun engine runs Benny Lava. I poop on Oliver. *head desk*

  8. Watched 28 Weeks Later last night and found it to be almost as terrific as 28 Days Later (which I know is an unpopular opinion.) The opening 15 minutes about gave me a heart attack - awesome.

  9. If someone could bring me a chocolate glazed donut, I'd appreciate it.

Thom cranked up that video this AM to "wake us all up".

It's very odd, the bopping around while getting dressed and singing, "We want to see you pee on us tonight! We want to see you pee on us tonight!"

I think I need to find the original song and download it for my workouts.

SRSLY.

1. Why is that book $70??
2. Oh God, Mitt Romney barely governed my state (Mass.) never mind an entire country *facepalm* It'd be great if Obama or Hilary could win, but the problem is that because they're black and/or female, if the democrats elect them as representatives, we will LOSE to the republicans. I really really hope we can get a strong democrat for our representative. I've had enough of this 8 years worth of republican BS :P
3. Yay for hubby time!

Woohoo on the new job for Mr. S! Tell him congrats for me. I see in comments that it still means travel, but yay for more compensation. Have fun playing during his vacation!

You uncle hadn't figured out your politics yet? Or was this one last ditch attempt? My own aunt and uncle have started sending me Christian emails, including some intelligent design stuff cartoons meant for the kids. I just promptly delete them. But it makes me sad that they seem to be getting more fundamentalist in their old age.

Now you mentioned that video I have the tune running through MY head again. Thanks a lot...

6. Awesome!! The Mormom Memoir FTW. I read an article in People while at my parents' house about a woman who escaped from the FLDS church. I think she was married to a Jessup? I think that was his last name? Apparently she's written a book and the article was an excerpt from the book. She's. . . kinda a blah writer. Your book will be so much more awesome than hers.

Can't vouch for the quality of it, but hey...

And please can you send me a copy of the email for why not to vote for Mitt? It's like - i *know* he's a horrible choice, but i don't have any solid *info*. I wish some of the activist groups i'm a part of online would start talking about *him*. The thought of him being a presidential candidate makes me shudder.

28 Weeks Later! It's awesome! Robert Carlyle!! Yay! I liked the first movie a lot, too - very different from how an 'American' movie like that would be, and that was made it good, in my mind.

From Missouri to Texas is a very long drive, and my car is still out of commission, or you could totally have all the chocolate glazes in the box of donuts on my kitchen table. (My brother made the mix, and I only like the jellies)

Did you hear that Stephen Colbert is officially going to run for President? He announced it, like, three days ago...

I've never seen "28 Days Later," let alone "28 Weeks Later." :-/ I have one friend who will never forgive me for this, as she has the biggest crush in the world on Christopher Eccleston and thinks zombies are the best thing ever. (There were zombies in this, right?)
