  1. Anyone recognize the subject heading? That was my FAVORITE BOOK to check out in the Sixth Grade - and I have been looking for a copy of that for years that isn't 70 bucks. Geez.

  2. My right-wing Repub. Mormon uncle sent me an email this morning about Why I Should Vote For Mitt Romney. After I stopped laughing, I sent him a bulleted list of Why I Will Effing Not (And why you shouldn't either) Maybe this will get him to stop sending me his propaganda... (like the one about how the Koran's 9:11 verse is all about An Eagle That Will Destroy The Desert. No, it's not. GOD I hate that B.S.

  3. My husband has quit his job and is moving to another company, which means he is taking a 10 day vacation in between, so we are playing this week! \o/

  4. After watching this clip, I kind of want Steve Martin/David Letterman fic. Not explicit, just funny. And kissing. I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT, OKAY? I know it's wrong, but I don't wanna be right.

  5. My sister had a party this weekend, and it was fun to hang with hilarious people. Why did we move to the suburbs and away from all the coolness? Oh, right. Damn kids.

  6. I've decided to do NaNoWriMo this year to finish up my Mormon Memoir. See #2 for why I think I'll be able to finish. :D

  7. I can't stop singing that flipping Indian Music Video's "lyrics:" Minor bun engine runs Benny Lava. I poop on Oliver. *head desk*

  8. Watched 28 Weeks Later last night and found it to be almost as terrific as 28 Days Later (which I know is an unpopular opinion.) The opening 15 minutes about gave me a heart attack - awesome.

  9. If someone could bring me a chocolate glazed donut, I'd appreciate it.

Ooooh, if you can remember the name of the woman/book, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. (And all of those Mormons write the same. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.)

I started last week for some weird reason, so I'm about done with my crazy mood swings. I meant to call you yesterday, but I was so tired from ripping out the grass in the front of my house and building two stone stairways. (It looks so good!! I'll share pictures soon.)

Her name is Carolyn Jessop. Here are some articles (http://childbrides.org/carolyn.html) about her, and this (http://www.randomhouse.com/catalog/display.pperl?isbn=9780767927567) is her book.

Oh, I know her! I didn't read her book, though. Is it that typical flowery prose/Sunday church talk type of writing? They ALL do that and it's so irritating to read!

Thanks for the links! <3 <3

From what I remember, it was very dry. Basically, blah blah I was a Mormon, blah blah blah, married a bigamist when I was 18, blah blah had eight kids, blah blah I escaped. I know it was an excerpt so obviously there is more to the story, but her writing was dull. Maybe the book is better, I dunno. *shrugs*

I do remember a footnote about her wanting to get into motivational speaking re: Mormonism and its dark side. Hopefully she's bit more lively in person because if not? BO-RING lectures. And dude, how do you turn bigamy, blood rituals and the like boring? It's like a twisted soap opera!
