Request for fic?

I got my sister and her man into Buffy. "It's really funny, Laura!" I know! "It's really awesome!" I know!! "Willow and Xander's relationship hits home!" I KNOW!!! (She's just about to finish Season 1. I've already told her that she's not seen a FRACTION of the awesome.) "I combed his hair!!" <-- her comment about how awesome and cute Nicholas Brendon is. (I would like to remind you all that I adjusted his inseam. I thank you.)

But I get off track, when I want to know the following: She would be interested in your recs for good Buffy/Giles/Willow fic or permutations of those 3. The good stuff, people. And she's not afraid of IN CHARACTER AU. (No OOC unrecognizable except by the vanilla scent fic, please.)

Remember in Ghostbusters when they get their first client and Annie Potts slams her hand on a buzzer screaming, "WE GOT ONE!!!" That's how I feel. :D

In conclusion, thank you for the recs! (I'm heading out the door for dr's appts, etc. for those who would be emailing, etc., and you know who you are. *G*)

[ETA] I forgot!!! THIS SITE is the coolest thing EVER: a video tutorial for all manner of crochet stitches. Since I'm a self-taught crocheter, I didn't know how to do some of the fancier stitches (or how to add on a new skein without tying knots. I KNOW. But now I do.) Free patterns, too! So. Awesome. Nerd alert over! :D

Definitely bookmark to save yourself the spoiler grief. The Buffy/Giles I recced above called Policy is a S1 fic but I will warn that it is dubious consent and may really squick people so. . . warning.

I think I've read a Hyena Xander/Buffy but I wouldn't recommend it unless you share your sister's love of badfic.

The BBF archive was gakked a few months ago, so the links all changed. The Chapin story is now fixed. Mirelle's story can be found if you go to her LJ and ask her. I didn't realize she had locked her journal after I posted that link.

Collect those fic links, by all means, but for heaven's sake don't read them yet! The thing with fic is that it assumes the audience is caught up to that point in the series as of the time when the fic is written. Therefore, even with fic that's attempting to be the most outrageously unrelated-to-the-series story ever, one will find SPOILERS. In even the most innocuous-seeming comments, one will find SPOILERS. It's terrible, but true. Don't spoil your own fun, but instead savor it and rejoice that there's still so much to learn and enjoy.

Therein lies the rub since not everyone labels their fic to the time period PLUS I've actually found spoilers in some labels. ::Cries::

I've watched all of Angel and up to I-don't-know-which season of Buffy (I'm up to the episode where REMOVED FOR MAJOR SPOILERAGE) and can't even list the things I know are coming in Buffy thanks to reading fic that I shouldn't have read (thinking myself safe since it was Angel fic).

Woo hoo, you made a convert! However I sadly have no recs for that specific type of fic. Good luck to her in that quest! I agree with fiveandfour so much about the caution in reading, though.

You know, even stories set in S1 or whatever sometimes assume that you've watched beyond that time period. There's foreshadowing, etc. It's tough to read fic at an early stage, I would think.

But how great is it that the whole wide world of fic is waiting out there to be discovered.
