18 miles today. 10 min. mile pace. I timed it so I'd be back at my house at the 12 mile mark so I could take Sally Derg on the last 6 miles. 15 schnitzengreuben's 7 miles is her limit. :) When she saw that I had come back she was all sad faces because she knew I was walking without her, then I grabbed her leash and she crawled towards me with her front paws then wriggled against my leg to make me laugh. Why are dogs so rad?

I have pictures that are making me a) laugh and/or b) happy under the cut.

I say "faaaaaabulous!" like Oprah, and it both hurts and happies my brain.

He'll use you to plug up the hole in the ozone from those hairdos, ladies. This is one of my most favorites of all time. It can go so many ways....

I was happy to have voted and I got a sticker! Who doesn't like stickers? I really need to clean that mirror, sheesh.

THIS is what a pecan pie looks like. Are you listening Alan Ball of True Blood? Note: it is delicious. I couldn't help myself and cut a piece last night after the kids went to bed. :)

Don't even try and tell me that is not the cutest perpy derg ferce in the whole werld becerse I will nert berlierve yer. I actually said that out loud as I wrote it. I make no apologies for who I am.

NaNoWriMo: who's doing it? I'm signing up later today, and I plan on using it to finish up "Oh My Heck" (which, cough, I started last NaNo...) and maybe writing a full-length story I've had sketched out for about five years now... It'll feel good to have a goal.

Oooh, I made the chicken and dumpling recipe from yesterday for last night's dinner and I added some Parmesan cheese to the dumpling batter and that is a happy flavor explosion in my mouth, let me tell you. I have leftovers for lunch in a bit. *pats tummy*

[ETA] I meant to add this link earlier: a wine search engine! Know the region and year but not the name? Or any other combo? Chances are they have it, with a picture of the label, too! I've found a few that I couldn't remember the name, just the region and sundries. YAY!

I have been turning over and over whether or not to do NaNo this year. Novembers are always sort of rough, just because it's electionhomg. This year I have one story I've been working on off and on just for fun that got derailed because I lost the notebook I'd written my most recent scene in, but I sort of ought revive...

I also have a title that might deserve a story, but I fear it might have mushy romanciness in it and I think I'm anti-love right now, so it might need to wait. Wow, could I have said "might" more in that sentence if I TRIED?

Your photos make me GLEE. And the hairspray in that one is sort of painful to look upon. Also, I cannot WAIT to try that recipe!!!

November *is* a tough month, isn't it? I have the 3-Day that will take up four days, then I have Thanksgiving, which is usually at my house, but! You don't have to kill yourself if you don't make it, you know? I find it helpful to have a goal and a time frame for it. Maybe that could help you when the election winds down and you don't have a million things a day to do? *G*

I'm going to attempt to write something. We shall see.

Sally is so cute! One of the new guys on SAR has a Saint Bernard puppy. He brought him to the store this morning and OMG, so cute! He's about the same size as Buddy but clearly with much growing still to do. He's 18 months, so full height, but not filled out. He's going to be thick.

Great idea! [livejournal.com profile] entrenous88 and I had a comm last NaNo that I found incredibly supportive. It's locked so people could post snippets if they wanted, but mostly it was a hand-holding comm. :D

Saint Puppy!!!! ZOMG I bet he was so fluffy and big paw'd and Bweeee!!

Someone was walking their charcoal Weimeraner puppy that couldn't have been more than 6 months old and I wanted to smash hees leetle belleh on my face, he was so wriggly and cute. Seriously: Why are dogs so rad?!?

I'll need mucho massages starting sunday. My friend and I decided to start training to run a half marathon in the spring. Um...we're both robust girls so this will be interesting. We are going to be chronicling our pains and progresses...at http://www.fatchicksrunning.com Should be painfully entertaining.

I am not doing Nano this year. I've tried it, but it always stresses me out. Besides, Book #2 is due Jan 26 and I only have 1.5 chapters written...no nano for me!

I voted yesterday and my sticker is now proudly stuck to my Mac. :)

Good for you! If I may.... Epson Salts. If you're not intimately familiar, go get ya some. Soaking in a tub of that is like a quick 10 minute massage, no lie.

Oy, you're going to have a busy holiday season, aren't you?

Yay early voting!! It's so much easier.

Holy Toledo. 18? Wanna borrow my legs? *zaps them to you* I'm just sitting here, not using them. They may as well get a little exercise, huh? *sheepish* Um, I haven't shaved this week. Don't judge.

Heeee! That Takei pic is killing me. And I've seen the big-haired Jesus ladies before, but they get me every time. The big one on the right looks like Stephen Fry.

I'm sorry...it's just...your mirror...

Thank god you didn't angle the camera more and show the mounds of dishes and children huddled in filthy rags.

It's so filthy, like the rest of my house. I was smart and threw a tarp over the mess, in case the camera picked that up. And I shipped the kids to Bangladesh - they LOVE to ruin moments for me like pictures, life, happiness, sex with random delivery men...

Knowing you, you'd cuddle my pie and eat my dog.

Oh! And I forgotted -- NaNo! Yes we can!

I'll probably re-start that comm from last year, and see if I can ask people to be proactive about doing the daily word count posts for the first part of the month, when things will be especially busy with the sale of the house. Then I can pick up the slack mid-month on, while everyone else is getting worn out and maybe a bit busy with holiday preparations (we're going to stay in this area for Thanksgiving, so I should be fairly chill, especially in comparison to the weeks prior to that).

Oh, where to start? Your perky self-portrait? No!

Those "The Faith Tones." Please tell me that you photoshopped that cover. Because, words cannot express my glee at seeing that. Drag-queens? Mike Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jay Leno/Woody Allen. Does the bouffant mean that one is that much closer to Jesus?

Dog = made of awesome.

From: [identity profile] stoney321.livejournal.com
I did *NOT* photoshop that picture, which makes it all the more awesome because OH MY GOD!!! It's been pointed out to me that the woman on the right bears a striking resemblance to Stephen Fry. :D

The higher the hair, the closer to Jesus!

I love my Sally. She just got a vigorous brushing and is happily gnawing on a treat, her tail thumping.

Those pictures gave me the biggest smile this evening! I wish I could give Sally a big hug and get a doggy kiss in return. What a sweet face! And speaking of sweet faces, you with the sweet *and* pretty face, so proud to vote! We don't get stickers here, sadly.

That pecan pie looks so awesome and yes, it is exactly the way a pecan pie should look. Um, I have no idea what the one on True Blood looked like but it sounded nasty. I pity those who don't have genuine experience of the real thing.

Now -- I'm off to laugh at the first three pics again...

I even got to choose between the available stickers! I like acting like a third grader...

Oh, Anne, the pie on that show was so gross. It looked like a frozen pie crust (like, still frozen) with chocolate pudding slopped on it and pecans laid on top. It just looked nasty and plastic. Bleh.

I love the Hand Jive picture. :D

No Nano, too much school work :(

Your dog is so adorable and the stories you've told about her in past entries are just icing on the cake.

You are really pretty! And if it's any consolation, my mirror(s) (I have two bathrooms) look about the same as yours. That stuff happens when you have 5 people and a dog living under one roof. You should see the rest of my house = FAIL!

And just tell me what is wrong with finishing up with a later NaNo what you started in an earlier one? Nothing. Sir David Attenborough has books that are hundreds of thousands of words long and took years to write, so look in what good company you stand!

Oh, and wine search engine FTW.

Also, may I hug your dog? I'll massage thighs in exchange for puppy hugs. ...I'll massage more if the pecan pie is included.

Hahahahaha - oh my god, those women!! I love the glasses, too. You know they started off with their hair only just so high, then it got higher and higher. (Taller the hair, the closer to God!)

SOmeone pointed out to me that the last one on the right looks like Stephen Fry, and I have to say that I agree.

I love the old covers to 60s lesbian bodice rippers - they're so evil and yet, so horny!
