My crazy day, plus two recs

HOARDERS RECAP is up, and a warning: one case is an animal hoarder. It's clear as to where his story ends and the very heartwarming story of Vivian begins, if you'd prefer scrolling past (and I don't blame you. I was in tears more than once last night, wishing I could skip the animal-centric episodes.)

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will be up after lunch - we finally have the opulent party of craziness!

GLEE COMES BACK TONIGHT. Do not talk about ANY SPOILERS, no matter if you think I should already know. I HATE that I've been spoiled for some things, and just don't want any speculation, please. Having said that, if you're desperate for some fic, I have two for you, and both are NC-17 for those opposed to that (lol):

One is by anonymous in the Glee Kink Meme, a 50s-style AU Klaine. Hot like burning. I wish it wasn't in short bursts, because I could read this fleshed out more and as a long fic and be a happy person. She's planning on a sequel.

And this AU fic is pretty good, too, but I tend to like everything she writes. Bad boy Kurt, dweeby Blaine, lots of smex. She's entertaining, for sure. (Although I struggle with her Brittany. I feel that way about most people's Brittany's, though, so YMMV. Also, it's like one scene, the rest is pretty great.)

Okay, I have to get my plyo in and then whip up the RHoBH recap. (Halloween was fairly uneventful, mostly because we had our fun Saturday. But the kids had a good time with random outfits and friends. And I am staring at a pile of Almond Joys and trying to stay strong.)

Brittany is SO hard for me to write. I owe a friend a Santana/Brittany fic and while I only have minor fear tackling Santana (I am tempted to just cheat and make her background Puerto Rican and rip stuff from my own family to give her a deeper backstory, ugh Glee, not all Hispanics are the same), Brittany is super tricky. Hopefully new episodes will inspire me!

I am not even watching Glee live tonight as I'm heading over for a dinner party with friends. I make the best of plans. ;-)

That kink meme filler is kind of amazing. They did one of my bulletproof kinks flawlessly; I'm still starry-eyed over it.

Brittany is CRAZY hard to write - she's so sincere in her stupidity. I think a lot of writers struggle to make it funny, forgetting that what's funny isn't really what she's saying, it's that she BELIEVES it, you know? (for the record, I've never been pinged by Brittany in your stories.) LOL, I hear you on Santana. Por que no Cubana? I mean, sure, if they were in Texas or New Mexico, etc. it's reasonable to have her with a Mexican heritage. But.

THAT IS A GOOD PLAN. When you're able to watch, no commercials, huzzah!

DUDE. That kinkmeme owned me for the past week. I'm SO GLAD that s/he's writing a sequel.

I really love the Brittany that the skintightsocks ladies write. Did you read their short fic where she interviews Jesse St. James for Fondue For Two? It's perfect.

I'm just going with "gosh I hope Glee is going to be lazy and just steal from the actors' backstories" and since Naya is Puerto Rican, I may as well go with that before Glee contradicts me. It helps in a "and then I get to be lazy too" way. My stepgrandfather is Cuban but culturally I can mine a lot more Puerto Rican references without having to search for someone to school my ass if I get it wrong.

I need to mem that kink fill so that I don't miss out on the sequel. It does exactly what it ought to on on a kink meme: lots of sexy tension and then SEX. I find some of the fills on the glee kink meme are a lot of exposition and never get to the good stuff.

oh, I do, too. I really like just about everything they write. (Sometimes the hard core kinks do NOT work for me, but that's just how it goes.) That fic you mentioned is SO FUNNY. That's one thing I like about those two, they are FUNNY and know how to write funny. It's really fucking hard.

Si, si, write what you know. I mean, shit, we're all having to roll our eyes at some of the Jossing and trying to make it fit.

I slapped the link in my delicious (I am still with the grandpas bookmarks) for that, too. She has a mutual masturbation story that she did listed. UNF. It's hard finding fills that work from start to finish, agreed. She did it for me, that's for sure.)
