1. Happy birthday to the lovely [livejournal.com profile] anelith, and I hope that it's a great one. *hugs to my Anne-girl*
2. SOUTHLAND. Are you kidding me with this? I had to pace the floor, it was so intense. (Also, heads up: I go OFF on a particular scene where women are being victimized, and I'm STILL mad about it. Not at the show, it is - as always - an impassioned narrator of life. I'm just mad that it HAPPENS.)
3. I find it more than a little disturbing that Boy Kitty makes a habit of pushing into the bathroom when I'm using it and stares at me with his impassioned gaze. o_0 Porque, pussy gato?
4. Spring is springing! I know it's just getting started, so there is loads of bare space, but I'm happy to see little buds everywhere and flowers popping up already. I'm about to be laden with roses, too. Woot!

I have a border of blue plants (bluebonnets or ajuga) with pink phlox and blue meadow sage, 1, 2, 3 lining the entire property. This side is about 150 feet of winding border. When it's all in bloom it makes me SO FLIPPING HAPPY.)

This is my Texas Mountain Laurel - it's a sloooooow grower and the blooms smell like grape soda, no lie. That's about 5.5 feet tall. Proportion is all whack on my phone camera, I've noticed. It's hard to get scale without someone standing there.

I LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW AND WHAT DID I SEE? POPCORN POPPING ON THE APRICOT TREE! Sorry. This is actually at the orthodontist's office, not my garden (because these are actually crappy trees in our region) but I have to send it to the Museling, along with a video of me singing the song so [livejournal.com profile] flaming_muse's son will sing it with me. :)

This is just a picture that makes me happy. And desperate with want. LOOK AT THAT MAHOGANY BATH HOUSE!!

WANT. I don't know if this is an actual geode slice (can you believe they'd be THAT BIG?? I mean, sure. But... ???) or a really good photo/wallpaper. I just know that I would like to recreate this in my powder bath.

And lastly, can we talk about how deliciously awesome Logo's 1 Girl 5 Gays is? It's pretty much my most favorite talk show ever.

We've had a horrible snow season, so right now there's ground everywhere, but nothing growing yet. It's very, very brown. *sigh* I'd rather have more snow, but would settle for a bit of green.

Haven't watched Southland yet, so I'm going to avoid your recap and let myself be surprised.

That bathhouse is amazing.

And finally, my dog is the opposite of your cat. If Buddy follows me into the bathroom and sees me unbutton my pants, he turns and runs away.

God, I am SO GLAD there is ground everywhere! I don't want you falling for an infinite amount of time, Sal. (Hahaha)

I'm so itchy for green. We had a massive die off this last year from the record heat and fires, so I'm SO SO HAPPY to see plants coming back in my garden. (And I didn't cheat and use my sprinklers, ahem, neighbors. *sour face*)

YES. avoid until you've seen. HOLY CRAP.

I want to live in that bath house. Smudge can stay outside and watch me through the glass. Then I won't feel his judgment so keenly.

I let my little girl sit with plant catalogs and circle things she likes. MWAHAHA start them young.
I promised her we would buy some daylilies.

I love creeping phlox, I have some over hanging in a raised area and spreading out.

And yes, that bathtub would lovely.

I drag wee kidlets into my garden all the time to help me (with instructions to only come in when Miss Laura is with them, natch.)

I totally believe in nabbing them young. :)

mwahaha yes.

Last year she got to toss some radish seeds in the garden and tend them. This year she has sunflower seeds that are 12'. That's going to be awesome.

Can you imagine how delightfully COOL TO THE TOUCH that geode would be? I would love to have that be at the end of a long hallway. Just... WANT. So, so much.

OMG I JUST WANT TO CUDDLE HIM UP AND KISS HIS CHEEKS ALL OVER.

<3 <3 to you!

Ooh! Your garden looks gorgeous. I'm going to ask Cindy (my gardener) if I can have a Texas Mountain Laurel.

That last pic with the maybe-geode is really beautiful. I love how the timber floor climbs up the wall and ceiling to define the space. Although the geode looks a bit ... anatomical ... for me. Especially how it is aimed at the loo. Or is coming out of the loo? WHAT HAS BEEN SEEN CANNOT BE UNSEEN.

They're a really hardy tree. A lot of Aussie plants do well here because we have similar harsh climates in places. They don't need supplemental water, either, which is excellent. Pretty soft grey/silver leaves and multi-trunk. They're excellent specimen trees, I think. :)

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I never saw that, but now I do. Nah, I see the overall shape, not a big ol' penis. (Gutter-brain. Hee.) How beautiful would that be at the end of a long hallway?? LOVE.

Wow, your garden is looking lovely! and flowers that smell like grape soda, WAAAAANNNNNTTTTT!

That tree is stunning! I'm just waiting for the cherry trees to start around these parts, knowing that will improve my mood by 100000%. *\o/*

It's just getting started! (Oy, I have a section of weeds that have got to go...) GRAPE. SODA. If ever there was a plant with you in mind, I mean... HONESTLY.

Ooooh, cherry trees make the world a better place. Weeping cherry trees? I could almost believe in a heaven when I see them.

I just realised what your icon is, and I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. Cop. Gay dude. All-around solid guy, when he's not getting high. One of the best portrayals of a gay character I've seen in a long time.

Sorry, derailed by my love of gay cops who aren't open flames.

The mahogany bath house is just a little incredibly gorgeous, and I want that geode slice dealio too, it's AMAZING.

I have a massive crush on John Cooper. BAMF, he is. (That's me recapping the show over on HDJM) I LOVE HIM, TOO.

I could just look at those last two pictures all day. ALso, hey, stranger! Nice seeing you pop up!

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes! It was a very nice day -- didn't do much, and that's just the way I like it.

Your garden is glorious! My kids would love to have flowers that smell like grape soda. They'll think I'm making it up if I tell them about it. :D

Cats must think we're doing something very strange when they see us in the bathroom. Not only using the toilet, but taking a shower/bath??? Obie is fascinated by the shower. He doesn't want to get in, but he'll pace along the edge of the tub. Once he did fall in and that was hilarious (sorry Obie).

You are welcome!! I'm just happy to celebrate that you're still here! (On LJ, hahaha.) <3

Oh, you have to tell them. And if you're ever at a Botanical Garden, ask if they have one so you can check them out for yourself. I love getting the neighborhood kids to smell it and watch their faces. :)

Hahaha, that IS hilarious, because he was probably SO AFFRONTED BY THE WETNESS, WHAT IS THIS SORCERY?!

Having a cat, you are never alone in the bathroom when doing your business... And if you, gawd forbid, locked the door! You'll have both my cats mewing right outside the door since there can be no locked doors in the home, dammit!

Cats... they sure make life interesting, don't they?
