I spent the weekend blasting my side garden (which is 20 feet deep and 80 feet long) because I can no longer just pull the encroaching Bermuda. We destroyed so many plants with the brush cutter... My husband sent me inside to keep from having a heart attack over the horror. (I did make him spare my heirloom bulb bed, of course.)

We then tilled up...about 1/3 of it before we gave up for the day. I couldn't grip a glass of water without a struggle last night, that's how achy my hands were. Yeesh. We filled 5 30-gallon compost bags with the clippings and dug up Bermuda. I think we have another two or three still waiting to be dug. HEY WHO WANTS TO COME WORK IN 100F HEAT WITH ME? *crickets*

Thought not.

• I'm pitch-hitting for our normal True Blood recapper Sam, and my recap/review of "Hopeless" is up.
• Janey's rewatch of Dr. Who has been happening every Tuesday through Thursday, and the last episode was Bad Wolf
• Ditto for Samantha S's rewatch of Dexter, ramping up in time for the new season that starts soon. Season 5, eps 7 - 9 are up today!
• AND BREAKING BAD IS BACK. Melody will have her recap up shortly, so be sure to check back for that, as well.

You know, I keep seeing your pictures and stories about your garden adventures, and they simultaneously make me really excited and absolutely terrified to start tackling my brand-new-to-me yards. (Yay, we have a house! Boo, there are things taking over the pretty flower beds the previous owners put in!) But then you say things like "100F heat" and I realize that whatever my yard/garden ends up doing to me, it's nothing like doing the same thing in your neck of the woods. :)

In other news, again, THANK YOU for HDJM. Like, a lot. I'm getting to the point now of wishing there was a recap on your site for every show I watch, and it makes my heart happy to see the ones you do have. So, thank you thank you thank you!

Ha, the HEEEEAAAAT. Normally I love it. But when I'm sweating and digging and hoisting, not so much. ;)

Ack, that grass, super insidious! I hope the blasting does the trick. Hahaha, you don't even want to know how useless I am in this heat. If I came to help, I would be swooning on your couch and making sun-tea for everyone. Though you have central air, don't you? *pauses* *moves in*

You know, I would actually love you to come recline on the outdoor chaises with a fruity drink and tell me stories while I worked. I'm usually out there alone, so company is all I ask for... *stoic, aside from lip wobble*
