Question, because I'm lazy curious:

MLA format: The Bible isn't underlined in text, and I've discovered that the Book of Mormon is also not underlined. Would you underline: Oxford English Dictionary? I feel like I've seen O.E.D. in places (as opposed to O.E.D.) but I could quite easily be wrong.

Also, someone made a compilation of Dylan O'brien kissing his real life girlfriend the girl in his first movie and from other things he's done, and it made my chest all tight and I feel funny. I should not be attracted to a CHILD. A very hot and attractive child. Okay, he's almost 22. STILL. (And I still can't watch The First Time because I know they're really dating and it makes me feel like a creeper or a voyeur, and I have issues, I recognize this, but there is a very strong WE DO NOT CROSS THE STREAMS vibe in me regarding celebrities and being a fan.)

I am a nerd. There you go. Also, I'm making the Mr. take me out to a good dinner and I'm getting a black and blue martini or NINE. \o/

Do you mean underlining certain scriptures in the Bible? I know some who highlight entire chapters but I've never done that to my own. I didn't feel it was right to do so. ^_^;

Yes, of course I would underline/italicize the OED, because it is the title of a proper, published book with different versions. The Bible (like New Testament/Hebrew Bible/Torah) is scripture - and come in different translations even into English, so you'd underline/capitalize the New Revised Standard Version in the citation of chapter and verse if you were quoting - I realize the BoM probably comes in one version in English so that part isn't relevant - but not when you say the Bible itself.

I can't with Dylan O'Brien. I can't.

(Or, the problem is, I TOTALLY COULD in another life. And this is a problem for me.)

Well, I was a professional proofreader and copy editor, regardless of all of the weird things my fingers type out when I'm not paying attention...

(And I italicize. I LOATHE underlining in almost all cases. But I respect your choices! :) )

This I know, and this I respect (and use. Oh, do I use you... I MEAN LOVE YOU.).

The ONLY reason I'm underlining in that particular doc that I'm working on (that only you are privvy to) is because the agents I'm looking at sending it to have stated they want that instead of italics. WHICH IS WEIRD BECAUSE I PREFER ITALICS, TOO.

No, no, manuscripts are still expected to be submitted in Courier 12 with underlining. Absolutely, that's standard; that how one formats things for submission and editing. I just hate it. :D
