Somehow, I ended up with a whole bunch of new folks on this journal, which.... HELLO! you did read the user info page, right? I'm a complete spazz. Fair warning! And a little reminder that you don't have to ask to friend me, I know there are a bunch of people who just read this space without interaction, which is fine. Commenting and chatting is fine, as always! I know there are some people who do those "getting to know you" fill out thingies, but I haven't had enough coffee in my blood system to be that coherent, so I'm doing it in poll format!

[Poll #700963]

Holy sheet! That's one big poll. I'll wait a few days before checking to see how many people defriended me over that one. WHEEEEEEE!! and I don't look often so you can drop me like a bad habit and there will be no hurt feelings, yo.

*cough* In other news, I may have a new list of Gud Summries coming up - oh lord.*cough* And my lovely, lovely Kako had her baby and is well - even though VERY early, yipes! - and I saw pictures and OH! baby boys!! *so proud of my brave, brave [livejournal.com profile] mskakaako*

[ETA]: It's [livejournal.com profile] ely_jan's birthday?? *kicks semagic for not telling me* Happy birthday! She is a KICK ASS beta, a great person, and I like her bunches. I hope today is one of the better days in recent past, tootsie pop! *squish*

[ETA2:] DAMMIT!! If HP is your fandom, let me have it in comments. I TOTALLY FLAKED, THE HELL? (I was going for the joke, but the JOKE IS ON ME.)

Ok, SO.

In answer to #3: add "anything I can get my grubby hands on."

And for concrit, I WAS BEING FUNNY HA HA. What I meant is, if someone asks for it, then they should take it (AND LIKE IT). But if they don't ask for it, don't give it to them, because they probably don't want it anyway.

I totally want the superhero power of power napping. Why don't I live in a comic book?!

I totally asked for a super nahni and it didn't show up! I think I accidentally clicked super brain - which I already have!! Dammit!

Hahahaha - I don't know whether to take a bow or blush that I'm so far the only one ('sides you) to know what donkey punching is.

Speaking of...and I almost emailed this to you and Andrea & Jess, and then decided too TMI and now I'm going to share it in your PUBLIC, massive journal - Caza caught me with a knee to the forehead last night. Hahahahahaha! I saw stars! To quote Warrant, "I saw red." And then I just saw ceiling 'cause what's a little rabbit punch when you're having fun?

Well, if your mocking doesn't scare off new flist potentials, your over-sharey BFF will! Woot! Also? Saturday is the one year anniversary of "whore island," "naugahyde pants" and pissing off our flists! *pops your cork*

Yeah I'm one of those new people who just friended you out of absolutely nowhere!!!!!

Ok actually it was your Jossverse fandom post that brought me here via a rec. And I DID actually read your userinfo. Course now I forget what it said.

Anyway, I just really liked your sense of humour.

I got carried away by all the ticky-boxes. *is shamefaced* Stupid itchy clicky finger.

In other news, please tell me badfic sentence #1 isn't real? You can lie if you have to... (Although it does have an interesting sort of symbiosis with the monkey-spanking one a couple of choices down...)

1. I am a HOr for HP slash.
2. re: Bibleslash, I have been praying for years for someone to write me David/Jonathan. Probably no one will write it because it is SO TEXT.
3. I watched him groom himself, lifting first his left then his right ball as he comb through the matted hair.
Um, you're making fun of me now. Bad Stoney.

From Spander Moodring: Spa Weird

“And if you are going to be so anally-retentive about your beauty products, you might want to buy a new comb.”
“A new comb? What the hell did you do with my comb?”
“I saw this thing on the Style network about how to tame curly hair.”
“You know how to tame curly hair. A ton of hair gel and a trowel.”
“Not talking about that hair, pet.”
……
“Okay now you need to buy me a new brain. No amount of bleach can scrub out that image.”

Well, also The Sentinel and Farscape.

Currently. God, I've run through a lot of fannish enthusiasm in my life.

Julia, not actually awake, but then it's pledge week on KUOW and part of that is self-protective

*rofl* Your poll was precisely what I needed after the almost 2 hours (when it generally just takes 30 minutes) drive to my office.

*huggles*

P.S. Can't wait for the new list of Gud Summries. ;)

Ok, poll filled.
And can I say that 'meat curtains' is one of the grossest descriptors EVAH! Blech. I mean, like, seriously! I grossed out on the commentary of 'Restless' when Joss was talkin' bout the 'red curtains.' Ugh, metaphor much, joss?

As for the rest? You are an irreverent one aren't you? LOL, tis why I dig ya.

Superpower: OMGZ SUPERSPEED, HOBVIOUSLY. I am super impatient, and that way I'd stay skinny forever and I would get so much done in a day. It would rule. And I love The Flash.

Also, "hybrid" is my new favorite term for gender ambiguity. HYBRIDS FUCKIN' REPRESENT, YO.

Here's an excerpt from my personal "cum rant"

I can take it as a narrative description. But it just makes me crazy when a person/vampire in a fic announces, "I'm going to cum!" For one thing, if I were the partner, I'd be thinking, "Well, geez, go ahead, it's not like you need to clear it with me..." And for another, it knocks me right out of the mood. Because I start wondering "How do you pronounce that, anyway? Doesn't it sound just the same as "come?" In which case, if you were approaching orgasm, would you really stop and think, "Oh, I must insert the more porny-looking spelling in my steamy hollerings!"

And if it doesn't sound just the same, what DOES it sound like? Do you pronounce it like it's got an umlaut, or something?

And with the arrival of the umlaut thought, the Swedish Chef has wandered into the sex scene. And any actual sexiness has fled in terror. BORK! BORK! BORK!

I am totally not defriending you, you are stuck with me. Bwah ha ha ha!

Anne of Green Gables is also my fandom. On entrenous88's "what fic wouldn't you write post because of shame", I said I'd write a crossover fic of BtVS/AofGG and I've gotten a lot of positive responses. Apparently there's way more AofGG fans in the BtVS fandom that I'd originally thought. Oh, I'm also actually contemplating writing the fic now. *facepalm*

I'm so relieved to read that the first bad!fic sentence isn't real because if so *shudder*.

Donkey punch?? *reels* Haven't heard that term in just shy of forever!

Your mind is a wonderful candyland of miscellanea! Took the poll earlier, and then work took over, but I wanted to run back in and thank you so much for your birthday wishes! *mwahs* You need a beta or a sidekick? I've got a red pen and a pair of jaunty tights with matching cape at your disposal.

power naps! I actually knew a girl in college with this power -- she could lie down and be asleep within 2 minutes, sleep for 20 mins without an alarm and wake up all refreshed. When I was pulling all-nighters -- yeah, might have hated her just a bit for that!

Thanks -- needed a bit of whatever the hell that poll was in my day.

I also spend a lot of time lurking in the corners of C.S.I. fandom.

I've learned two new things from reading this poll:
I never, ever want to read a story that uses the phrase "meat curtains".
I'm really not sarcastic enough to be hanging out in your journal! But I'm staying anyhow!

BTW-I meant to rec this in response to your Bibleslash love.

You've read In Principio by [livejournal.com profile] thamiris, yes? It is stunning and theologically profound. Plus, how hot is God/Lucifer?
