Took the kids to see Harry Potter this morning. Not a touch of line for the 10:40 showing in 3-D. I will say this: see it in 3-D (normally I can take or leave it,) bring tissues, and go to the bathroom during the trailers. I have a headache from crying. Oh, and not having breakfast. (McGonagall!! I love her. LOVE. Wish her part was larger, but I understand.)

#2 said as the credits rolled, "Now I have nothing to look forward to for the rest of my years," in the most dejected voice ever. Awww, we have had the best memories made from Harry Potter moments as a family. No matter what, I am grateful for that. (And Weasley is my King.)

I have the next Glee recap up, it's the one where Jesse St. James shows up and Idina Menzel starts her story-arc as the rival coach. I love her and made a cocktail in her honor, the Elphaba-tini. It's green, natch. :)

I have to go grocery shopping and it's 105 degrees, it was 108 yesterday, not including the heat index. Oy. We are in some serious drought conditions here in Texas. (I still manage to have a green lawn and flowers without running the sprinklers. Go me! *g*) Oh, the point was that I don't want to be driving in this heat and lugging sacks of food, but everyone's all "I'm hungry" and they refuse to eat the pets. Way to think of the environment, kids.

OH! Exciting gaming talk: I finally have become hip to Oblivion. The Mr. and I stayed up way too late getting acquainted with that game. Dude. Bad. Ass. And you can clearly have completely different experiences playing it from the start, depending on how you build your character. THAT is how you make a game, folks. If you were ever into DnD, and you've not played this, you need to get correct, son.

OK, groceries, and then my monk Elf is going goblin-hunting. NERD ALERT!
We are all super excited to go as a family to the last of the Potter films. I'm not even going to act like I won't cry when the opening credits roll. I have so many great memories of these books and movies with my kids (and fandom, and...) so it's going to be pretty awesome to see them wrap it up in a bow.

I'm sure everything tomorrow is going to be Potter-rific, so I most likely won't be online in case we're not able to see it at the 10am showing. The Mr. is getting home early today which is always a nice thing. I'm trying to get everything done beforehand so I can just relax and not work/type/clean while he's home. I swear, one of the first things to do once his promotion-raise kicks in is bring in a maid. I just... guys, there is too much and I just don't get any pleasure out of constantly mopping and vacuuming. CRAZY, I KNOW.

I finally got permission to pimp out Hey, Don't Judge Me to [livejournal.com profile] ontd_glee, and HOLY CRAP was that a smart move. Yesterday's hit count was almost double of what it was the day before. YAY. Thanks, fellow Gleeks!

Today's recap will be up at 1:30pm CST, it's finally SECTIONALS. Oooh, and I've concocted a fantastic martini for everyone that requires that liqueur I mentioned yesterday, Domaine de Canton. It's redonk, guys. REDONK.

Tomorrow's post and cocktail will auto post at 3pm as well, because I'll be Harry Pottering it, I'm sure. OH. And [livejournal.com profile] oatmellow has posted her next Bachelorette recap, and Liz is back with Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Surely we have something to get you through you day with a laugh. SURELY.

Tonight is Louie! And Wilfred! I love both of those shows, Thursdays are greatness. OK, peeps, Imma hop in the pool afore I hafta stop writin all kuntry.
This is uh-may-zing. Harry Potter mash-up with "Hello!" from The Book of Mormon the Musical.

JUST MADE MY DAY. I love that Hermione "cut" her hair short, too. LOL. (Snape FTW!) [ETA] Equus!! How to Succeed! A Very Potter Musical! OH MY GOD, WATCH OVER AND OVER.
...the guy working nights to blow rats out of a paper mill with fire hoses, and they keep finding sub-levels of floors where the rats are bigger and nastier? That's about how the world of bad!fic is for me right now. (I don't think I've come across the King Rat, either, which is scary.)

TAPEWORMS ARE NEVER SEXY, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?! And other holiday songs of good cheer for wassailing )

Oh my goodness, I am EXHAUSTED after all of that. I need to watch Teletubbies or something to get it out of my head. (Oh my god- you know there is Teletubbies fic out there. Dammit, I'm going to have to find it.)

¹ I have since learned that the author may *not* be JH aged, which... wow. They're either in HS or college. AND THEY MEANT THIS STORY. O_O Awesome.

Tech help?

Firefox updated a No Script yesterday, and now when I click a link in Gmail (and ONLY in gmail) it doesn't open in a new tab. I use tab mix plus and have no issues with links on other pages, just Gmail Anyone else having this problem? It's freaking irritating. (Note: I have selected in Options to open a new tab when clicking links.) Anyone else? Just me? Should I get that sand out of my vah jay jay and suck it up? My fingers have been trained to do one thing, and they can't do the other... FIXED! Not that anyone offered me help or advice. Where mah nerds at?? *checks secret pocket protector signalatormatron's batteries*

And because I hate whining online, here's a link to the Greenskeepers "It Puts The Lotion On Its Skin" which makes me laugh so hard. Nothing like a Silence of the Lambs musical. *whole heartedly approves* "I think I'll make myself a cap from your right buttocks cheek" Ahahaha. Ha. Ahem.

Oh, oh! I read some fics last night that TORE ME UP. So painful and wonderful. Under the cut as they have Deathly Hallow spoilers. Man, there is a wealth of fic out there! )

Feel free to rec me anything good you've been reading in Jossverse, Sitcom-verse, HP, PotC... It's too hot to work in the garden, and so? I read. And I love my new default icon with the power of a thousand suns. ALMOST THE WEEKEND, PEOPLE! \o/
Title: "Things They Should Have Taught Us In School"
Author: Stoney
Fandom: Harry freaking Potter
Pairing: Ron/Hermione *waves OTP flag*
Summary: Set during Deathly Hallows, in Grimmauld Place. Levi-lovin', chicky bow! How much did Ron learn from his sex book the twins gave him?
A/N: Massive thanks to [livejournal.com profile] marenfic for the beta. Any remaining mistakes are hers. I mean mine! Mine. This is for [livejournal.com profile] southernbangel who requested "dry humping." Which is why I love her. <3
DISCLAIMER: I make no money from fanfiction, and I'm not seeking any, either. All characters belong to JKR, except for that character down the street. I bought him for seven cents. I think I over paid. Did you actually read this line?

Cleek for Feek! )
Because they are CHILDREN. Of age. So, okay. Maybe I'm not so bad. I'm writing Ron/Hermione dry humping fic set in Grimmauld Place and I LIKE IT.

Also, I just mapped out a "Silver Spoons" AU parody fic with Draco as Jason Bateman and Harry as Ricky Schroeder and Sirius as the dad. And I can't stop singing the theme song. (Dean will totally be Alphonso Ribieri.) Ooh, no no! Lucius is the dad, Draco is Ricky Schroeder, and Harry can be the conniving Jason Bateman! It will be from a Slytherin POV, obv. Ahahaha.

Where's the Love Boat fic with McGonagall in the roll of Charo? "Cuchi, cuchi ay yi yi!" *shakes her melons* Snape is obviously Isaac, the bartender. *shoots guns* Hagrid as Gopher, Hermione as Julie the cruise director, and Harry Potter, as the Beaver. Wait...
Spoilers for up to Book 6, but as I'm still re-reading GoF, it's mainly focusing on books 1-4.

Is it June 21 yet?  *reads like a fiend*

I am screwed up in my hede.  I know this.  I give you the best ship EVAH.

I give you: McGonallBottom )

Oh god, I can't finish this.  I have tears squirting out of my eyes.  I actually saw a RW/HG fic today and they had a "romantic meal" of mashed potatoes and stew.  WTF???

This is HOTTTXXXX!!!11!!

Just got back from taking the kiddles to see Prizoner of Azkaban again, and found out what specifically I think makes it a superior movie to the first two.  (movie, not book translation, etc.)

Thoughts on PoA  )

Now if I could  only stop reading everyone's accounts of WriterCon and focus on my own for a change...  Anyone else hear that the erotica forum had some poopy people on the panel?  I'm VERY curious to hear who it is everyone was complaining about being pompus really is.  I have my guesses...
